Leafkit heard Palestar call her and her brothers forward and looked up knowing she wouldn't see Palestar but she could imagine sadness blazing in the leaders eyes. I wonder what they're seeing...she thought her tail fluffing up. Her thoughts drifted and she looked up seeing Palestar, the pale tortishell seemed to look down at her and before she could see anything Oakkit slapped her on her back "we're becoming apprentices what's with you zoning off a lot Leafkit" he muttered. I don't know how I do it or how to control it! She wanted to mew. Leafkit put her head towards the rock again and listened to Palestar. "Sagekit from this day until you earn you're warrior name you shall be known as Sagepaw, Eaglewhisker you have shown great courage and will make a fine mentor to young Sagepaw" Palestar mewed as Sagepaw sat by his new mentor. "Oakkit come forward" Palestar mewed as the tom stepped forward "from this day until you earn you're warrior name you shall be known as Oakpaw, Beetleclaw you are a loyal and noble warrior you understand the warrior code well I expect you to pass on you're traits to this apprentice." Oakpaw sits by Beetleclaw as Palestar calls Leafkit forward. "Leafkit from this day until you earn you're war-" Palestar was cut off as Dewnose bounded across camp "WAIT! I'd like her to be my apprentice it's been a quarter moon since Morningwhisker died and she'd have wanted me to listen to StatClan on this matter and I'm sure StarClan wants me to take Leafkit on as my apprentice" Dewnose explained. Leafkit felt her heart drop she wanted to be a warrior like her brothers and the thought stuck in the back of her mind what if he only wants me as a medicine cat because I'm blind am useless? "Okay Dewnose." She huffed "Leafkit from this day forward you shall be known as Leafpaw Dewnose shall mentor you in the ways of a medicine cat meeting dissmissed" Palestar mews calling her deputy into her den.
"LEAFPAW!OAKPAW!SAGEPAW!" The clan cheered. Leafpaw followed Dewnose's scent to his den and faced him a sigh building up. "I didn't make you medicine cat apprentice because you are blind Leafpaw" Dewnose mewed. "Then why!" She mewed roughly her fur on end. "StarClan gave me an Omen that you'd help save the clan they told me you needed to become a medicine cat and that you're skills would be wasted if you were a warrior." He mewed flicking his tail to and fro.
