I sat down and pushed the 'on' button of one of the many remotes in my room. Since my father never wants me to leave it, he made it comfortable and full of things normal teenagers would enjoy- a gaming system, a library with all of the newest novels, a couch and a full screen TV. It's like adding a comfortable mattress and a rug to a prison cell.
It's an illusion he's trying to make me see. An illusion to cover the fact that my life is here, in this house.
Not in the outside world.
And I'm not leaving.

The Parisan News is the first to color the screen after I turn on my TV. My mind takes me back to a prior fight between the News Anchor's daughter who was akumatized into a villain- Puppeteer. The memories of our superhero adventures- Ladybug and I's- make me smile and sigh with content.
I listen for a minute or two to make sure there's nothing going on as of late, and keep it on as I go to do something else. When you're a part-time city-saver, you have to know what's happening so you can - well - do your job. I don't mind it, I guess. Another villain means more time spent with Ladybug- I'm always down for that!
Walking up an immaculately polished staircase, I turn left and sit down in a comfy desk chair and turn on my computer. My background,of course, is- Well, I'm sure you can guess who.
Soon enough, I'm at our school's webpage. I check it in my rare and fleeting moments of freetime, because it's easy to forget big things when you have so much on your mind.
There are multiple headings listed, and I scan through for any projects things of importance:

I was re-reading the fourth announcement when I heard two words that made me dash down the staircase at the speed of light : Breaking News.
She was at Fifth and Maine street, across from the Louvre and heading west, identified as 'Rivera'...

"Plagg, Claws out!"

/3rdPersonPOV/

Chat Noir ran and extended his 'Miraculous Stick Thingi' out from underneath him, skyrocketing his into the air and over buildings. He said that it 'Served as a very efficient mode of transportation' but honestly he just loved the adrenaline and the feeling of flying up in the air. He arrived at the scene in record time, swinging down and landing a foot away from his comrade. "Who are we dealing with today?" He questioned. "Don't know much. I've only seen her once before she disappeared somewhere down the street." She answered, to his dismay. This one wouldn't be as easy to catch. Chat Noir opened his mouth to say something, but whatever it was became irrelevant as the Villain, Rivera, stepped into view. She wasn't something anyone had seen before- She looked like a normal girl, but her shirt and pants were oddly...seethrough. Not sheer or anything , just seethrough as you could see behind her and through her- not clearly though. It looked as if you were looking through a cup of.. Water! Ladybug looked over and Chat Noir nodded his head. They both understood what they needed to do- after all, they may have been good at taunting, but without a plan they were nowhere near defeating any adversary. Just as they were about to start the attack, Rivera stepped forward. Her bodiless form moved accordingly.. as if her figure were still there, but hidden. Then, she started to talk with a rough but higher-pitched voice, like a girl that had seconds before been crying, saying
"He wants me to face you."
Not knowing what to say to her, they stood in awkward silence.
"He wants me to take your powers. All I w-want is to-" She took a shaky breath, steadying herself. "I want my revenge. Please leave so I won't have to hurt you." Her voice had darkened, and they had no doubt about what had happened. Just like that, Chat Noir retorted, Rivera steeled herself for battle, and Ladybug charged at her, throwing her yoyo's line out and around her neck since her body appeared to be liquid. Rivera laughed darkly and suddenly Ladybug's yoyo wasn't grasping onto anything anymore. The girl had.. undone it and disappeared? It seemed something too lengthy to do during a close combat battle. Ladybug and Chat Noir looked around and things still didn't make sense- where did Rivera go?
They heard the same dark laugh from behind them and turned to face her. She was hidden quite well, her only giveaway being the oceanic tint to the space behind her. Things happened faster than you could focus- Chat Noir and her battling, Ladybug using her Lucky Charm power- and soon enough, Rivera was captured. She struggled against the clever bondage that the Lucky Charm had aided with, but her efforts were in vain- there was no way she would be able to get out when Ladybug was five feet away and coming towards her to get the akumatized object and basically declare Rivera as a failure to Hawkmoth and Herself. "I- I hope you know that I will get revenge, and you won't be able to stop me. You have civilian lives too, I'd guess. You won't be able to watch me 24/7- and when you're not looking, I will get my revenge on his family. It will be you who fails-Did you always think that being a superhero is only a part time job? Well, you're in for something."
Ladybug shoved her a little to the side to check her hands for an akumatized object of some sort- but also to get her to stop rambling. She said two final sentences before being silent for the rest of her time as Hawkmoth's devotee:
"You can capture me and say I'm the villain- but how can you judge my life and my actions when you live lives that are perfect and happy? Once you've felt true pain, the pain of losing someone and losing yourself, too, then you can capture me fairly- but that day will never be, because you're too wrapped up in your perfect little worlds to experience real life."
He wished he could say that she was right.

(1195 words, hope you're satisfied :) it was horrible, I know. So I guess that can be a little background to the story. I honestly hate this writing because it is dull and doesn't have any life. I'm tired- there are much better chapters to come! AN UPDATE: PART II WITH AS MANY WORDS AS THIs (THeREABOuts) WILL BE OUT BEFORE FRIDAY!Thanks for your patience! //:::E.V.Out:::// )
