*Faith's P.O.V*

*flashback*

"Stop it, you're drunk," Rain demanded.

Her father had stumbled in the house and intruded on our sleepover.

"Don't tell me what to do bitch," he snapped, slapping her.

I didn't flinch because I was used to him being abusive, Rain made me swear on my life to never tell another soul.

"What are you girls up to?" He lunged forward, tossing the blankets.

"No dildos?" He chuckled.

My stomach twisted at the thought of him thinking we were doing something as grotesque as that.

"Or, were you waiting for the real thing," he hissed.

He took another step toward me.

"Rain," I cried out.

Her dad had never touched me before, not in an abusive way and certainly not in a sexual way.

Rain lunged at her dad, clawing at his back.

"Don't you dare!" She protested.

"Jerry!" Her dad called and a tall man walked in, scooping Rain up effortlessly as she tossed wildly in his arms.

"Don't worry, you'll get your turn," Jerry cooed.

Her dad pulled out a switch blade knife and placed it by my ear.

"You're going to do exactly what I tell you or this gets messy, understand?" He growled.

"Over my dead body," I spat.

I felt blinding pain as the blade pierced my skin, he dragged it down and stopped at the top of my bra.

"Sexy lace, Faith, I didn't think you were that kind of girl," he purred.

The smell of drink from his breathe made me natious.

"Stop it!" Rain screamed.

"Shut her up!" He ordered.

Jerry dropped Rain to the ground, she scrambled to her feet before he backhanded her.

Her body hit the floor with a thud.

"Let go of me!" I demanded.

Blood was streaming from my wound and I was losing blood, fast.

He ripped my shorts off and I cursed myself for not wearing underwear, but I wasn't planning on getting raped tonight.

He pulled his pants down and I sobbed.

"Shut the fuck up," he snapped.

He roughly pulled at my hair as he took my virginity, grunting nasty things in my ear.

"You're so fucking tight," he moaned over and over again.

I felt him release in me and he pulled out, leaving me sobbing against the wall.

I let my body fall beside Rain's.

"Rain," I cried, gasping for air.

That was the last time I ever saw Rain.

A few weeks later I found out that Rain's dad had gotten me pregnant, initially my parents ordered me to abort the baby but I didn't have the heart to, I didn't need to anyway, the baby died 2 months into the pregnancy and the doctors told me that I would have troubles in the future if I ever wanted to start a family, it broke my heart but I was relived that I didn't have to take care of the child by myself. My family moved us as far away from that family as we could and I never heard from her, never saw her. It was like she never existed. My parents would pretend they had no recognition of her family's name whenever I would bring it up, I was forced to forget my best friend.

*flashback over*

My finger traced down along my scar as Rain shot me a nervous glare.

The ride up the elevator was agonizingly slow.

"Faith, you're gonna have to talk sometime," Riker pressed.

"Do you know what we need?" Ross interjected."We need beer."

Riker let out an obnoxiously loud laugh. We all looked at him with questioning looks.

"You can't drink," Riker pointed out.

I slumped my shoulders in defeat.

"Sucks for her, I'm going to get beer," Ross stated.

"You are not old enough to buy beer," Rydel chuckled as the doors clicked open.

"Good point, Rocky, you and I are going to buy beer," Ross decide, wiggling his finger at Rocky.

"Yeah,sure," Rocky shrugged.

I saw Rain intertwine her fingers in Rocky's and she whispered in his ear. Whatever she said didn't help, Rocky pulled his hand from hers and stalked down the hall.

"Rain," I whispered.

She glanced at me and a look of pure disgust filled her eyes. She followed closely behind Rocky.

I chocked a sob at how distant we had become, I never imagined we would be pulled apart.

Riker wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked and I instantly felt relief in his secure grip.

"I'm sorry," he whispered and kissed the top of my head.

"So am I," I replied.

The room was a little bigger than any of the ones we stayed in along the way.

"There's not enough beds," Ratliff sighed.

He was right, there were 3 beds and 9 of us.

"Well, I get the couch," Ryland announced and plopped down in the creaky couch.

"Faith and I get one bed, Rocky and Rain and Ratliff and Rydel," Riker explained.

"Rude," Willow snapped.

"I don't know how you and Ross like to sleep, together or separate?" Riker shrugged.

"Guys, don't worry about it, we'll worry about it when we're going to sleep, not right now," Rain sighed.

She had no light left in her eyes, I had a feeling Rocky was having a rough day.

"Let's go get as much beer as we can, and uh orange juice?" Rocky asked.

"Sure," I smiled.

They left us to wait around, I watched from a small table as Ratliff played around with the T.V remote.

"Leave this on!" Ryland whined.

"Cops? Bro, that's cheap," Ratliff interjected.

Ryland smiled and threw a fake punch.

"Alright, we'll watch Cops," Ratliff laughed.

I was glad they were getting along again.

"So, I'm going to be an uncle," Ryland sighed after a few moments.

I nodded and glanced at Riker who was staring at the television with no readable expression on his face. I wanted to go and cuddle up with him but there seemed to be some wall between us that needed to be broken down or this wasn't going to work.

I'm going to be a mother, that terrified me and excited me at the same time, I've always wanted to be a mom, but, this was all wrong. I'm in a bad place, what if Riker left me when the baby was born and left me all alone with no support, what if they all turn their backs on me in the middle of the pregnancy? The endless "what ifs?" flew around in my mind. What if this baby doesn't make it either. Memories of that terrible night flooded back and I felt hot tears roll down my cheek.

"Jesus Ryland," Rain snapped.

Ryland rose his hands up defensively.

"I didn't say anything," he defended.

"It's okay," I sighed, swabbing at my eyes.

Riker was watching me but he didn't move from where he was sitting. Instead he gestured for me to come over.

I obliged gratefully and curled up in a ball on his lap.

"We're back," Ross announced, holding an already opened bottle of beer and a cigarette hung loosely from his mouth.

Rocky trailed close behind with two crates of beer and a few cartons of orange juice on the top.

Rocky looked at Rain and winked at her making her smile from ear to ear.

"Let's party!" Ross hollered.
