I couldn't help but feel bad when I saw his shining blue eyes. They looked so sad and it pained me to see him like this.
"Jon, are you okay?" I asked in almost a whisper.
He sighed before answering me. "I don't want you to leave... the gang, I mean. I know I messed up, we all did, but it was just for our safety and I... If anyone of us died-"
"Stop talking," I said. "I know. You can stop apologizing. I can't tell you that I'm staying because I don't know, yet," I told him. I didn't want Danny to be a part of this life anymore and I don't know if that meant I would have to give up this life, too.
I knew Jonathan was struggling inside. There might be something else bothering him besides just me. I went up to him and placed a hand on his warm cheek. He looked straight into my eyes. He placed his hand on top of mine.
"I don't get it..." Jonathan whispered.
"Don't get what?" I asked out of curiosity.
He shook his head. "Nothing, never mind," he shot me a smile. "Why are you still wearing your mask?"
I placed my hand to my face. I felt the hard plastic there. I've gotten so used the mask on my face. "I didn't even know," I told him.
"You should wear it less often," Jon said pulling it off my face. He threw the mask on the chair and ruffled my hair.
He walked off downstairs. I was now the one sighing. I don't understand him at all...

I couldn't help but feel bad for (Y/n) every time I saw her. I just think back to the time when I kept hitting her and I couldn't stop until someone had to pull me off. Every time I see her, I get this weird feeling and I just want to be around her all the time.
I knew it was probably just me getting feelings for her but I technically haven't officially broken up with Blu. That's what keeps holding me back from telling her anything. I wanted to kiss her when I took her mask off but I decided not to until I figure things out with Blu. Instead, I ruffled her hair like she's some kind of kid.
I said I was gonna stay to keep her company and I came downstairs like an idiot. I went back upstairs to find her scrolling through channels.
"Hey, (Y/n)," I called. She turned to look at me. I noticed the few scars on her face. She must have been by herself a long time. Growing up had to have been hard with and without her parents. "Let's hang out," I said.
"What about Danny?" She asked with a quizzical eyebrow.
I forgot he was here. I took my phone out and called Ohm. After a few dials, he finally picked up.
"Hey, can you come over?" I asked.
"What for?"
"Just... Can you or not?"
"I guess. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Cool, thanks," I said and hung up.
I took a seat next to (Y/n) for the time being. She seemed uncomfortable with me being so close. I moved back. I couldn't really blame her but I didn't want her being uncomfortable with me. She has plenty of reasons to want to stay away from me.
"Who were you talking to?" she asked quietly.
"Don't worry about it. He'll take care of your brother," I said.
"And how do I know if I can trust him?" She asked a little defensively.
"Do you trust me?"
She looked at me funny. It made me chuckle and she started glaring at me. It only made me laugh harder. I grabbed her mask which was next to me and placed it on her face.
"I thought you said I should wear this less often," (Y/n) said pointing at the mask.
"Yeah, But we're about to go out. Unless you don't want to wear your mask in public?"
"Nope, I'll keep it," she said without hesitation.
I chuckled. "Yeah, I thought so," I said putting my own mask on.
When Ohm arrived, I told him that he would be taking care of (Y/n)'s brother. He complained but I was able to convince him to stay.
"You owe me big time, Delirious," Ohm said pointing a finger at me.
"Thanks, Ohmie!" I said in a happy tone too joyful for our own good.
"You are one weird guy, you know that?"
"No, I'm one delirious guy," I winked and waved at him. I could tell he was rolling his eyes behind his blindfold but there was a smirk on his face.
"Like I haven't heard that one before. Don't stay out too late, kids," Ohm said pushing me and (Y/n) out the door.
I looked down at her. She looked confused and surprised. "Told you, you could trust me," I said with a smile.

I was just glad Jon called someone I knew to take care of Danny. I still didn't want to leave him but I did need to get out the base for a while.
"So, where are we going?" I asked breaking the silence while we walked down the street.
"You'll see," he said. It was quiet again. But it didn't feel awkward and there was no tension.
I looked around as we walked. I looked around and actually observed my surroundings. I was never able to admire how beautiful the city actually was. I was always hiding in the darkness and traveling through alleys. The guys were definitely lucky.
"Pretty, huh?" Jon said.
I nodded. A smile was creeping up on my face. I need to come out and see the sights more often.
We started walking up a hill that was pretty steep. I was still wondering where he was taking me. The surroundings slowly started getting quiet as we walked higher up the hill. It reminded me of the weird silence from where I used to live. Silence wasn't my favorite thing but sometimes I needed it. It was hard to explain. With Jon next to me, I was able to bear the silence.
"We're almost there," he said. Up ahead I saw a big curved railing. We were still walking uphill which was preventing me from being able to see the view.
I saw Jon look to the right and stopped in his tracks. I looked at him to see what was wrong. His eyes looked shocked and nervous. I looked to see where he was looking at.
I immediately regretted looking and ruined the whole mood...
