{ me? liking toizer? what are you, an idiot? that's bullshit. }

After the incident with Henry and his friends, Alexa wasn't sure how to react. The balloon, the way those idiots acted out, and then the way these guys acted as if it was completely normal for someone to speak like that. It clearly bothered Alexa, but she kept it on the downlow. It would be stupid to rant about it now.
"S-So.. uhm, where are you guys going tomorrow? Or doing this summer?" Alexa says quietly, at the other guys in the group.
"I start my training" Richie boasts proudly, and Alexa watches him for a second before he adds on. "Street Fighter, at the arcade."
Alexa laughs again, and Richie's lip curls up in a halfway smile, until Eddie speaks up which drags his attention to the small male.
"Is that how you wanna spend your summer, stuck in an arcade?" Eddie questions, to which Richie replies smoothly and quickly.
"Beats spending it inside your mother." The sheer thought of Eddie's mom (she's heard rumors and has seen her a few times out and about) and Richie together makes her giggle, but quiets down when Stan adds in his idea.
"We can go to the Quarry-" Alexa didn't really know what the 'Quarry' was, but it seemed like a valuable option.
"Guys, we can g-go to the barrens." Bill pipped in, and that seemed to draw the most attention, even if you also had no idea what it was. Whatever it was, it also seemed that that was the option everyone was going to choose, so you shrugged and willingly agreed as well.
"Tomorrow then?" Alexa said to the group, smiling softly now at everyone. They all nodded their heads, and waved goodbye to their newest member of the group. She waved back, mounted her bike, and pedaled off.
The trip to her house didn't take long, it wasn't far from the school, though it was the only house on the corner. Turning her bike to ride into her front yard, then to the backyard where she dropped her bike into the grass, she walked into her house from the backdoor.
"Daaaad!" she called out, listening for her father as she calmly dragged her hand along the wallpaper of the house, like she normally did. Her dog, McGee, rushed in from the living room and right to her, toppling into her and almost knocking her down. She laughed though, petting the golden retriever's yellow fur.
"In here, sweetie!" she heard her dad holler, most likely from the kitchen where he cooked and baked. It was one of his favorite pastimes while she was gone. When she was here, they watched movies and they'd read a book together. They always did everything together since...

Mom died, at least.
Alexa didn't have a terrible home. Infact, she thought she had it better than most people. She had her own room, her dog was great, her dad was always welcoming and lenient. He understood her better than most people ever did. Sure he may have grown more protective and always wanted to spend time with her since Mom had passed, and she didn't mind.
Pushing the thought of her mother out of her mind, she walked into the kitchen. "Hi Dad. What'cha cooking?" she asked, staring up at her father who smiled at her warmly.
"Homemade chicken noodle soup!" he said, smiling brightly. She laughed, knowing that was his favorite and- something she enjoyed as well.
"Nice!!" she cheered a bit, rocking on her heels for a second. "When will it be done?" she then inquired, looking up at her dad with hopeful eyes.
He stared down, and laughed. "In about thirty minutes, dear. Whiich means, yes, you can go shoot a few pics outside. Be back in thirty minutes though, okay?" he told her, and she was already bounding up the stairs, laughing happily. "Yes sir!" she hollered, rushing into her bedroom.
Her bedroom wasn't ordinary, she likes to think. The pastel blue walls were covered in Polaroid pictures, and her drawers were lined with other knick knacks that she loved collecting, like pretty rocks or other things. She wasn't really into pink, much less dolls. She enjoyed more boyish and neutral things like pictures, video games, playing guitar, all that kinda stuff. Kill her for gendering items and such, but oh well.
After grabbing her camera, she skipped back down the stairs, and out the door. As per usual, her dog followed pursuit. She had gotten him when she was little, and he tended to follow and act as a guard dog to her. She giggled and ruffled the dogs fur as she climbed on her bike from the backyard, and began to pedal out, slowly so her dog could keep up. She turned into the town, and into what seemed to be a old movie theater and an arcade. The thought that Richie was here made her heart skip a beat, but since it was nearing dark, the logical part in her mind thought otherwise.
She walked around the theater, wondering why it was still open if the curfew was seven p.m. She didn't think much of it really, and turned on her camera by lifting the top part of it, where the flash was. It was a newer brand, and she was surprised her dad had actually bought it for her. She walked around, thinking of different poses and different sections where she could take a photo. She stopped in the middle of the theater, where her brown boots stood out from the reddish carpet. She tilted her camera down, and pressed her cold slender finger against the red button on the side, eliciting a flash from the camera. A small whirr noise was made as her picture came sliding out of the camera. She took it effortlessly, and began to shake it lightly, looking around for another spot.
"What'cha doing, dollface?" a voice called, and she shrieked, jumping and turning around. She almost dropped her camera, only to be surprised further to see Richie Toizer standing in front of her, wide rimmed glasses and all.
"O-Oh, uh, taking photos, ya know.." she waved her camera, and then her picture for extra emphasis on her words. He nodded his head, walking over and leaning slightly to stare at her new picture.
"B-Be careful, idiot!" she said, stepping back a few feet to hide her red face and to protect the still developing picture. "The-The ink has to dry, before you can get all up in it and stuff, or you could smudge it, ya know?"
He stared at her for a second, then laughed lightly. He found her scrunched up face funny, while she found his laughter adorable. An idea came to the boy's mind, as he quickly places his hands on his hips. "Take a picture of me!" he told her, and she stared at him for a second as if he had just said something in another language.
As it processed, Richie still didn't move. So she mumbled a small "oh.. okay!" and aimed her camera at the other. She stuck her tongue out from the corner of her mouth as she concentrated, trying to calm her nerves to not make the picture so shaky.
As she once again pressed the red button on the side, the flash lit up the theater, and the picture slid out of the camera. She held it and began to shake, both pictures in one hand. As the first one finished developing, he snatched it from her hand. "This one, I'll be keeping." he told her with a smirk, and she huffed, but didn't refuse.
"Fine then! I'll be keeping this one of you." she told him, watching as the ink finished, and to her surprise, the picture came out a lot better. She looked up at him, then at the picture. The way his cheeks lifted when he smiled, the way his brown eyes seemed to brighten to a lighter color from the flash, where you could see small little freckles even through the tiny picture.
Richie Toizer was the perfect muse.
She shook that thought from her mind quickly, placing the photo in her backpocket. She'd tack it to her wall when she got home...
Home...
"Shit!" she began to hurriedly walk out, Richie following along. "I'm supposed to be home soon, Richie. You should head home too, curfew is at seven." she told him, and he glanced back to the arcade, before shrugging and grabbing his bike- it was leaned against the theater- and climbed on. Only then did he notice her dog, who sat patiently at her bike.
"I'll ride home with you- and who's that?" he asked, pointing to the dog as she began to get on her bike.
"Oh, that's McGee, my dog. He follows me everywhere." she said with a small voice, smiling at her dog as she began to pedal down the street, once again Richie following pursuit. It turns out, as they began to head home, they lived on the same block, Richie was only a few minutes away.
That made her giddy. She didn't like that.
As they arrived at the front porch of her house, Richie came to a stop as she let McGee into the house, and dropped her bike off on the porch. "So- I'll see you at the Barrens tomorrow with the rest of the gang?" he asked her, smirking.
She turned her head, looking back at him with a sheepish smile. "A-Actually, I have no idea where it is, so..-"
"No worries, sweet thing. I'll come get you and we can go together. That sound cool?" he asked her. She blushed lightly from the nickname, but laughed softly.
"Sure Toizer. Don't be late." she smirked at him, waving and skipping into her house, closing the door. Richie smiled, staring at the door dumbly before it hit him.
"W-Wait, you didn't give me a specific time!" he called. He was about to leave, when she peeked her head out the door.
"Figure it out, dork!" she called, then shut the door. He stared at the door again like a idiot, something he seemed to do a lot today, before smiling cheekily and pedaling off.
