Hoseok was walking from a room to another, slowly, humming a song he used to listen to a lot. It was one of his old friends he loved a lot who showed him. Sadly, Hoseok lost contact with this guy, years ago. All he remembers of him, is his talent and his name. His name... Hoseok, nor Taehyung, nor Seokjin could pronounce it without breaking in tears. Even the face of the guy couldn't come to his mind, instead of it, a cigarette and a lighter were showed in his head. Understanding himself, Hoseok grabbed his cigarette packet and his brand new lighter, then walked outside.

He examined the packet, like he does every time he gets out to smoke. Ripped at some places, it looked old. It was. A lot.

Normally, he would go smoking behind big buildings and hide away from Seokjin and even Taehyung... Well Hoseok was mostly hiding from Taehyung, even if he loved him a lot, he still saw him like a monster... "Why trying to save someone who wants to die? Why trying, it won't work. It will just break you more when I will die, Tae.."

For as far as he could remember, even when Taehyung was 4 years old, he wanted to help everyone, even if it meant that he would get hurt, Tae would do it.

"Hoseok!? Do you want to come in the forest with me? I want to see the dock past the forest, I've been told it's amazing and we can eat there, so bring your lunch box!!!"Asked Taehyung, ready for a new adventure, like all the time.

"Yes!!!" Answered Hoseok with so much happiness.

Taehyung had his lunch box inside his Spiderman backpack, and Hoseok had his inside the Hello Kitty backpack of his sister. At this age, they didn't even care.

They left a note on the table of the kitchen, with their best writing;

Eomma, I want with TaeTae to the duck past the forest, I will be home at height, see you!

They left and closed the door. As soon as they both stepped outside, Taehyung smiled mischievously, and pushed Hoseok before running away. Surprised, he froze, and seeing his friend with a big smile, and laughing while going away, gave some energy to Hoseok and he ran after him.

Being taller than Taehyung, Hoseok arrived fast and caught Taehyung's arm. Their little legs were tired, so they continued their way walking.

"Hoseok, I'm scared I won't pass my exam tomorrow...What if I get a very bad grade?"

"I got 4/10, just hope you have better than me."

"Wow, Hoseok, you will be my hope!"

"Of course, TaeTae, I'm your Hope!"

They kept talking about the little test of mathematics Taehyung had tomorrow. The time flew faster.

"OH LOOK, THE DOCK! IT'S SO PRETTY!"

They both ran as fast as they could, wanting to get very close to the edge of it. The wood was slippery, so Taehyung stopped just in time, but Hoseok fell of the dock, losing the backpack in the deep water.

"Hope! Are you okay?" Asked Tae when he finally got out the cold water. The cold wind of spring was hitting Hoseok's little body, and he was trembling.

He started crying. "TAEEE, I DON'T HAVE LUNCH ANYMORE AND I'M SUPER HUNGRY"

Tae smiled and gave him his lunch, even if he was starving too.

"Take it, you need it more than me, you are taller."

*end*

Tears were running down Hoseok's face. He covered them with his hands and went to the old path, running like if he was 4 years old again. He entered the big forest, the place who used to be his favorite among all the places in this world. It looked so scary, thinking of all the dead dreams who now haunt this place. He walked an hour, or something like this, and arrived to his goal, the ugly dock, half destroyed by the time.

It was the place where he bring his first girlfriend when he was 14

The place where he smoked his first cigarette

The place he went to when his dad was drunk

The old dock... The place where the most beautiful moments happened. He used to do parties with Seokjin, Taehyung and the others guys he barely wants to remember.

Hoseok was breathing heavily, faster than usual. He felt so strong, like in the old days. He wanted to love life again... He wanted to become the kid he used to be, or almost like.

Closing his eyes, he took out form his pocket the packet of cigarettes.

Time stopped, and Hoseok took a last look at the object, the thing that ruined all the money he was gaining. He threw so far.

He opened his eyes, feeling free again. The sun was slowly going down, giving an orange color to the lake. It was so beautiful.

It was perfect. The water was still troubled by the object he threw in. The forest was silent, even the birds stopped singing, and only the whisper of Hoseok could be heard.

"I'm your Hope..." A tear, of happiness escaped his eye.
