I sat on my knees in front of the burning ruins, tears spilling onto my cheeks. He was gone. Mello... was dead. My brother had Takada kill him. I was secretly helping Mellow and Near to take down Kira. I knew that meant taking down my older twin brother Light, but he's gone too far. He killed my love. My other half. I think he knew it too and yet he didn't care. All he cared about was becoming God. He was no God.
"(Y/N)..." Light say calmly.
"Leave me here. Please." I sob, covering my eyes with my hands. I feel Light kneel beside me and hug me. He rubs my back to calm me down, but I know its all an act. He knew I loved Mellow, he wanted him out of the way so I had no reason to rat him out.
"I know you saw Ms. Takada as a close friend as did I, but she wont die in vain. I promise." he says acting. He hug me closer so he can whisper in my ear. "You'll be next if you tell anyone. You know that right?"
"I know." I whisper . "Can I have a minute? Alone?" I asked sniffling.
"Sure. We'll wait in the car for you." says Light. The three of them walk to the car and get in leaving me out of their sight. I knew Halle was here, she was on Mellow's tail. I stand up and sneak over to were she was hiding.
"I want to come to the SPK with you." I say. All she does is nod her head. She leads me to her car, we get in and she punches the gas pedal. I don't care if Light can kill me without me there. I have a feeling he won't use the notebook to kill me, it would look too suspicious for him. First Takada gets killed then his little sister, yeah that's not weird.
"You okay kid?" she asks. I shake my head.
"No. No I'm not. I lost Mellow." I say while trying to hold back more tears. "And I can't stop thinking about Kira." I say while watching as the buildings passed by. I thought back to when I found out Light was Kira. It had been two weeks after he found that damned Death Note. He had started acting strange.
"Light." I called while knocking on the door. "Light open the door before I come in there." I say.
"Not now (Y/N)." he said back. That made me mad, so I opened the door anyways and walked inside.
"I told you I..." I stopped mid-sentence when I saw Light's TV on the news and him writing in the note book. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked. Light looked shocked at me just walking into his room.
"Um... I'm doing a project for class." he says trying to lie.
"Light... what class? We have all the same classes." I say while crossing my arms.
"We have gotten word that yet another prisoner has died due to a heart attack." came the news reporters voice off the TV. Light stood up, walked over and shut the door. He paced around the room a bit.
"I didn't want you to find out." he says. He walks back over to his desk and pick up the note book and showed me the front. It read 'Death Note' in weird writing.
"What is that?" I ask.
"It's a god of death's note book. When you picture a persons face and write their name in this book they die. This is how I can fix the world." he says. I started getting scared, I stepped back.
"Light I think you need help." I say reaching for the door handle behind me. Light saw and grabbed my arm.
"You can't tell anyone. Not Sayu, not mom and not dad. If you say anything to anyone... I won't hesitate to kill you." he said making my eyes go wide.
"Light. You're scaring me." I say. He takes the book and holds it up.
"You're going to keep this a secret. Understand me?" he says darkly. I nod my head quickly, not fully trusting my voice. "Good." He says and let go of me.
I had never been so scared of my own brother before.
~Time Skip to where Light is found out~
Light opened the door after being shot multiple times by Matsuda.
"Light wait." calls Matsuda. Light runs out the door.
"He's getting away. Light!" says Aizawa.
"Mr. Aizawa. It's unlikely he any more pieces of the notebook. With those wounds he's not going to go far. He'll stop running soon even if we leave him alone." says Near. I take the gun from Matsuda and run after Light.
"(Y/N) wait!" they called after me. I had to kill Kira, for Mellow. I followed Light until he stopped running. He turned to me and cried.
"(Y/N) please. Help me. Kill those bastards." he says.
"The only bastard I'm killing is you. You killed Mellow. My Mellow. I never got to tell him..." I paused trying not to cry. "I never got to tell him he was going to be a father." Light was shocked. He tried to walk closer, but I pointed my gun at him. He stared at the barrel of my gun as he fell to his knees. Tears welled up in my eyes. I never thought I'd kill my big brother.
"You don't have to do this." he says. Tears stung my eyes as they cascaded down my face. I took a deep breathe and aimed my gun at his head.
"I wish that were true." I say pulling the trigger. The bullet hit the center of his forehead. His lifeless body collapsed to the ground as blood pooled around him. "I'm sorry Light." I whispered as I fell to my knees and cried in my hands. "I wish it didn't have to end this way."
Ryuku pov
"Light Yagami shot in the head by his own sister (Y/N) Yagami. I told you Light, I'd write your name in my notebook." I said as I watched the scene play out. I closed my notebook and flew away.
