Princess Ember silently decided to herself that she would only use her ability to turn into a fox only on the most important and necessary of occasions. She walked down the corridor as she admired the way it looked. It was like walking through several stone arches with windows within each arch. The windows showed the clouded, grey sky above, and the moors like different shades of plaid within sight. Ember's riding dress glided behind her, and she wore her flat riding shoes to complement her outfit. Her hair was put up into a simple bun for the occasion, and Ember wore her black, leather mitts. (Mitts- are gloves that go halfway up the arm). A sword and sheath hung at her side for her protection, and her fox necklace graced her neck.
Princess Ember reached the end of the corridor, and opened the large door before her. She slipped out and breathed in the fresh air. The weather was absolutely perfect: warm with a slightly humid feel, grey and cloudy skies, and the lovely scent of the moor.
She then called out for her dragon, Kolby, and he roared to show his existence, and flapped his colossal wings to a position where he could be seen. Ember walked forward, and climbed his wing to saddle him. Her skirt flowed out behind her in the wind as she got situated, and she adjusted her sword so it wouldn't make her dragon uncomfortable. Ember said "Let's get going", and he took off gently.
Before Ember knew it, they were up in the air, soaring through the grey clouds of the atmosphere. She stretched her hand out and let it flow through the thick grey clouds. She smiled and breathed in the fresh breeze of flying. The wind rushed past her as her dragon soared through the sky. He flapped his wings a couple times, and did a barrel roll through the sky which made Ember's stomach drop. Ember whooped in surprise, and cried out in enjoyment. She hugged her dragon's neck, and he dove straight down. He then flapped out his wings before hitting the ground and stayed still for a minute. Ember watched a horse drawn carriage rumble down the path before pulling up on her dragon again. He did a backflip in midair, and flew forward. He flapped every now and then, and Ember enjoyed her venture with Kolby. It was rejuvenating to say the least.
Kolby soared over the manor, and Ember viewed it from the sky. It's pointed steeples and high towers poked the sky. Statues of winged creatures sat upon a few of the steeples known as Gargoyles.
It seemed as if much else would work itself out past this point. This is now the conclusion of this tale, and I shall end by saying, "I hope ye have found yer way to God through this tale, and He loves you so." Take care of someone today, and show that same love to someone else if you would today. <3
