About half an hour later, you arrive home. You feel like an unborn child, hearing, feeling the world from the inside as your being carried around to do so. You walk into the house.
"What took you so long?" Cas asks you, he walks over, greeting you with a kiss on the cheek.
"Just traffic." It replies, you feel your heart beat as it's speaking tone was a bit different from yours. It had the right voice, but it sure as hell didn't talk like you, and you hoped that Cas had noticed.
"Well, I made you dinner." Cas says, on the inside you grin.
"Oh, I'm not all the hungry at the moment, I was actually hoping we could discuss this whole problem that's been going on lately, it's been on my mind." It says.
"Mommy!" Callie bounces down the stairs, she runs over to your and hugs your leg as you didn't reach down to pick her up. You place your hand on her head.
"Hello, Caelestra." Your voice speaks, you feel saddened as Callie looks at Cas unnervingly.
"Callie, bring down your cup from upstairs please." Cas says to her, as she walks upstairs, you feel yourself bounce on your heals as you watch her, waiting for your husband to pick up the tracks that this wasn't you.
Cas quickly grabs your frame by the throat.
"Who are you." You stare into his eyes, bursting with relief. You felt yourself blush a bit too at the fact.
"I thought I was doing well... Guess not, what gave it away?" It asks, Cas grips your throat tighter, although it still wasn't you. Your feet dangle off the ground.
"Maybe it's the fact that I can sense your filthy energy, I am an angel... And I know my wife." He grits, you grin.
"Hard way it is then." It says as it's eyes flick black, slapping Cas' arm away and hitting him in the nose, he staggers back a bit, giving it time to run for the stairs.
You reach up, attempting to shout out of your own body. "Callie hide!" You yell from the inside, apparently you managed to take control for a second because you feel the vibrations of your throat, hearing it on the outside.
"I'm sorry my love-" Cas says as he reaches for the hood of your jacket, yanking it and making your body fall backwards down the stairs. He kneels over your frame and places his hand on your head. Quickly, the smoke releases from your body. You feel as if a weight had lifted off of your chest, and the color returns naturally to your eyes. You rub your head.
"Oh my god... Babe let me start off by saying... Thank god you know me so well." You chuckle to lighten the moment, he sighs and rests his head on you shortly. Callie peeks her head around the corner.
"It's ok now, munchkin." You tell her, she looks at Cas as he nods.
He helps you stand up and wraps you in a tight, protective hug.
"You scared me." He whispers to you, his hand on the back of your head as you hugged.
"Yeah, well, I scared myself." You reply, pulling away. You give him a kiss and pick Callie up.
"Are you ok, Mommy? What happened?" She asks you. You kiss her forehead.
"You know how I told you that the people uncle Crowley control are bad guys?"
"The demons?" She asks. You look at Cas and nod.
"Was that... one of them?" She questions.
"Yes. That was a demon. And remember, if you see black eyes, what's our code word?" You grin as she says it cutely. "Pepper!" She giggles, Cas shakes his head with a smile and walks to the office. He exits with papers in hand.
"Look at these..." he hands them to you. The title was enough information.
"Multiple missing in Kansas after supposed terrorist attack..." you read the subtitle.
You hand them back to him. "I'd rather not read that, at least not now..." you say.
"Oh, ok." He tosses them on the table out of your sight.
Wrapping his arm around your waist you lay your head on his shoulder.
"Are you ok?" He asks, you look up at him, moving to the front of him so that you could wrap both arms around him comfortably.
"Just... Agitated I guess." You snuggle your head on his chest and he swaddles you, rocking back and forth slowly as you both stand in the middle of the kitchen. He kisses the top of your head.
"I'm going to head upstairs." You slowly release yourself from his grasp. Callie had already gone back to her room and was getting ready for bed.
"I'll be right up." He kisses you once more, and walks to the house alarm to turn it on.
You walk upstairs, hearing the sounds of Callie's walky-talky bleeping.
You peek your head around the corner.
"Hey, time for bed kiddo." You walk over.
"I have to go to sleep, goodnight, over and out." She takes her finger off of the button, you see the light out of the window to Luke's room shut off moments after. You tuck her in and kiss her on the forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too mommy."
You shut off the lights and go to your room, drowsily changing into pj's and laying face first on the bed. You go into the bathroom to wash up for the night. Putting your hair into a bun you go to brush your teeth, hearing Cas's footsteps enter the room.
"How are you feeling?" He asks from the bedroom. You put your toothbrush back in the cabinet and lay your head on the doorway. You notice him struggle to unbutton his shirt. You giggle slightly and walk over to him, he looks at you.
"I have to go tomorrow." He says as you unbutton his shirt.
"To your 'special headquarters'?" You mock, smiling at him, he half-grins.
"If that's what you'd call it." He says. You place your hands on his chest after the last button and look into his eyes. You could feel his heartbeat through the warmth of his body on your hands.
"...You look worried." He grabs your hands. You shrug. "What's wrong?" He questions.
"I don't know. I guess everything has been so... Commotion full. I don't want you to get hurt." You say. He kisses your hands and pulls you in closer.
"If anything, I'm doing this so that you and Callie don't get hurt. If something happens to me, it was to protect you and her."
You hug him tighter. Your voice breaks a bit as you speak. "I can't lose you, not again." You finish. He kisses your cheek, trailing off to your lips. You pull his hand and fall back on to the bed, the both of you grinning and laughing.
His kisses begin down your neck as he reaches for your shirt, pulling it over your head.
Shortly after, he hovers over you, looking into your y/e/c eyes. You get lost in the ocean blue of his own.
"We haven't had a moment like this in a long time." You say softly.
"So let's make the most of it... While we can." He replies. You smile and grab the back of his neck, pulling him into another kiss and flipping him onto his back.
As it continued, you stop him as you hear a sound come from beyond your bedroom door. You sit up.
"Did you hear that?" You whisper to him, he sits up as well, placing his hand on your lower back. You both hear a sort of clinking sound, shortly followed by footsteps. Your heart begins to beat quicker.
You jump up quietly. "Those aren't Callie's footsteps-" You grab your robe and reach for the door, he grabs your wrist and pulls you behind him, opening the door first.
"MOMMY!" Callie screams, you push past Cas and sprint down the hallway to her room, Cas following behind you just as fast. The house alarm begins to blare as you see the window to Callie's room shut.
"Go to the front door!" You shout to him, throwing the window open as Callie wasn't in her room.
"CALLIE?!" You yell, looking out the window.
"CALLIE!!" Cas shouts from outside. Your heart is beating out of your chest as you feel tears form. Cas runs back inside.
You look at him, tears falling down your cheeks.
"Where is she?!" You scream, he walks over to her bed. As he does so, you look closer at the window sill. The two of you share a look at the same time.
"Sulfur..."
