Bluey/green eyes
Blonde hair
Different and unique
Amazing and ever changing
Someone who puts up with
All of my stupid mistakes
You’ll catch me if I fall
And comfort me as I cry
You make me laugh
And sometimes I just can’t stand you
But you put me ahead of yourself
Just as you had for brother and sister
I may not show how grateful I am
But trust me I am
I’ve wonder how you feel
Everytime I put my iPod into my ears
And I ignore you
How you feel
When I do something to defy you
How do you feel
When I put my friends ahead of you
The memories you hold
About me would be many
And good ones lots
But the best memories I have of you
Is when we went to that concert
For my birthday
And when you told me what you thought
Of my mean grade two teacher
Of course that one time
You always tell me about
You know the one where I said
‘Mommy I love it when you’re just yourself’
You asked me what I meant and I replied with the same thing
I believe we had been making cookies
As I said that.
You are a strong mother
A strong grandmother
A strong aunt
A strong sister
A strong wife
A strong cousin
And a strong daughter
You have your moments
When you feel like the world
Is closing in
Grabbing a hold of you
Telling you lies
Telling you things that make no
Sense
Or your thoughts drift towards
Your mother
Who left this world when I was little
I’ll catch you crying
I’ll try my best to comfort you
As you do for me
I’ll lend you my shoulder
Just so you can cry on it
I’ll make you a picture
Just so you can put it in your office
And smile when you see it
Your smile is the best thing
In the world apart from your voice
I feel complete when I see your smile
Or hear your voice
Both are things I live for
Mom, I love you
I know you aren’t perfect
And everytime you’re mad at me
I know it’s for good reason
Everytime you ground me
It’s for good reason
Mom, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met
I hope you know that I love you with all my heart
Even when I make my stupid mistakes
Ignore you
Pretend I don’t love you
