I loved the way you said goodbye
Like nothing really ends
But this was something you'd surely miss
I never liked goodbyes
But when you did it
I felt your sad smile warm my heart
Not that I loved seeing you unhappy in any way
I just loved knowing that you didn't want a goodbye
You wanted to stay
You would miss me so
As the time passed
And you would be damned if you didn't see me in just a time you could handle
It didn't matter if you were having a bad day or I was unhappy
You made it your mission to see me
Even a millisecond would do
Sometimes I'd catch that look
You thought I didn't see
I started to giggle and you turned away
You were just too cute
It was as if when you looked at me
Hearts would bulge out of your eyes
You never had to say a thing
There it was written on your face
Your eyes took me to places I still dream of
Then as your lips turned up
The beating of my heart got louder
I got cold chills as you looked at me
I was warmed in your smile
I wanted to wake up and go to sleep while looking at your face
I never wanted to see your eyes follow another
But I knew I might lose you
I don't know how to get and keep you
I want to be yours
But where do I sign
What must I do to show I love you too
I think I'll wait for you to find me
After another goodbye
