Calypso

Where the hell am I?! Calypso panicked as she whipped her head around.

     Nothing.

She saw nothing. It was like someone had fogged up her vision. A sudden gust of wind blew, cold air pressing against her skin. Calypso shivered and pulled her hoodie up against her neck. Frightened, she took a step forward, "Hello?"

     No answer.

"Hello, is anyone here?" She asked, her voice echoing across the grayish landscape. Still no answer. She continued walking, silence engulfing her.

Calypso exhaled and inhaled rapidly. Everything is going to be okay, I'm fine, I've got this, don't fret.

One step at a time, she thought as she slowly kept walking, her heart pounding in her chest. "Hello?" She tried again. Again, no answer. In and out...in and out, Calypso repeated over and over again. She stopped, her heart beat pounding loudly in her ears. It was all she could hear. Calypso clenched her fists, nails digging into flesh, as she tried to fight the incoming tears from escaping.

     Nothing.

     Nobody.

She was all alone, a feeling she knew all too well.

"L-Leo?" Calypso's voice cracked. Tears fell down her cheek, turning cold as the air reached them. The unchanging gray void continuing to taunt her, teasing her.

A sudden voice pierced through the silence, startling Calypso. Did you really think you were loved?  A feminine voice cackled, sending shivers up her spine, for some strange reason it sounded vaguely familiar...

Did you actually think that you found someone for once?! That they cared for you?! The voice boomed, pounding in her ears. A sudden pain bloomed in her chest as she collapsed on her knees, her skin cold as the tears kept flowing....Leo?.

Nobody, ever cared for you! Not even your own father. What did you do?! You helped them when they most needed it, but what happens when you needed them?! They turn on you, for another person....

...You're unwanted. The voice hissed, slicing Calypso's heart in half. She sobbed as the realization hit her, stabbing her heart repeatedly.

     It was true.

     Nobody wanted her.

     No one loved her.

     No one cared about her.

Not even her own father...o-or L-Leo....she let a strangled cry escape her throat as she cradled her knees in her chest, shutting her eyes shut. She instantly saw herself looking into a pair of familiar dark brown orbs and dark curly brown hair...

"L-leo?" Calypso choked out reaching out to embrace him.

He took a step back from her grasp and threw his head back laughing. And what used to be music to her ears, tore her heart into millions of pieces. "Did you really think I loved you?!" He spat, his once beautiful eyes now full of hatred.

     No..this can't be happening...

"You're pathetic Calypso." He shook his head as he turned around walking away.

Calypso wanted to scream, she wanted to cry and punch anything and everything. But instead she just stood there watching him leave, her heart squeezing in her chest.

     Pain.

One word, yet it was destroying Calypso...piece by piece.

Join me...The voice whispered as it entered her thoughts again.

You're a daughter of a Titan, you deserve so much more than helping those little demigods...Join me

     Calypso swallowed, Never!

Fine!  The voice growled. Just don't say I didn't warn you when you see all your 'friends' die. She paused slightly, Oh and what was that boys name again? Oh right Leo. I'll make sure he gets a painful death...

"STOP IT!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Calypso screamed at the top of her lungs shattering her gray surroundings as pure darkness wrapped itself around her. Consuming her, as she suddenly felt strong arms shaking her.

     "Calypso..."

At the sound of her name, Calypso opened her eyes wide to find herself being engulfed in dark chocolaty warmness. It felt like as if a wound had reopened as she felt her face get covered in tears.

"L-Leo? Is that really you?!" She sobbed.

Leo looked at her smiling, "Of course it's me." He said as he gently brushed his finger on her cheek, wiping some tears. Sending an electric shock through Calypso's body.

Her voice cracked, "I-I thought you were gone."

Leo pulled Calypso in an embrace on her bed. "I will never leave you and you know that." He breathed against her neck, tickling her. He pulled back from the hug holding her tightly, eyes glistening.

"Remember, Bad Boy Supreme will always come back for you." He said, his smile turning into the smirk she knew to well.

"Oh shut it." Calypso rolled her eyes, the memories of last night slowly fading away.

" No, I'm serious Sunshine." Leo said in a dead tone voice, staring at her.

Calypso laughed and smiled pushing Leo off the bed she was sleeping in Cabin 9. She secretly wanted to avoid the awkward situation that he was being dead serious as it made her heart burst in her chest. Calypso shook her head as she watched him slowly get up wincing in pain, only making her laugh harder.

     Leo frowned, "That's not funny."

"Oh really?" Calypso asked raising her eyebrows challenging.

"Yes really." Leo grinned as her heart suddenly stopped at how close he was to her. He leaned over her, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. Calypso's skin burning as she felt the close proximity between them. "But it was worth making you smile."

Calypso blushed and gazed into his eyes. She wished this moment would last forever, just the two gazing and smiling at each other slowly leaning in, when...

     Bam.

The door swung open as it hit the wall. Scaring the crap out of Calypso, she shot out of bed at lighting speed and stood next to Leo to see who had entered the cabin.

Reyna was standing there panting as if she had just ran all the way here. Her eyes flickered between Leo and Calypso as she managed to catch her breath. Reyna's next few words caught Calypso's breath in her throat.

     "Apollo's here."
