Paradise in between chase

Chapter twenty three

Not in the mood to appreciate the beauty of her sorroundings,she is pacing back and fort. It is sunny and the wind from the ocean blowing her long hair that she let loose.

She don't know how he made her agreed into this.

Maybe,because those bloody media,who would not give up until they find out what we are hiding. Or maybe the pressure that was put on her shoulder for the safety of her children.

Now,she is waiting for him to arrived from Athens. The kids are in a big and beautiful room that is prepared for her. But she asked to put the kids to her room,they fell asleep on our way in this island.

It is not only her and her children in that private island. There are men in uniform around the island,more than eight who accompanied them from the philippines.

Thaddeus called a couple of hours after they arrived here. He said he is coming as soon as he finish what so important he was doing. And right now,he just stepped out from the chopper that took them to the island earlier.

He looks so powerful and intimidating on his black business suit. He wore his aviator,she couldn't see his eyes from that tinted litte sunglass of his.

He is all expensive,presentable and untouchable at the same time.

Maybe he felt her gaze towards him,he looked up where she is and gave her a thin smile,she nodded in return.

"How was the trip?" He ask as they finally both settled on the veranda with a refreshing mint lemonade in front of them.

"It was tiring,the kids was so excited,but fell asleep eventually,too excited to be here" he nodded curtly.

She stare on the beautiful veiw of the ocean,but she cannot concentrate on the scenery. His gaze is focus on her,she can feel the intensity,it made her feel concious.

"How about you? Don't you feel tired at all?" He asked "you look like you need it"

Even if she wanted to sleep,she cannot do it,her mind will always come to think of him and their current situation.

"I can't sleep a bit"

Nagulat siya ng tumayo ito patungo sa kanyang harapan. Inilahad nito ang kamay nito sa kanya,nagtataka na tinitigan niya iyon.

"Come,you have to rest" umiling siya.

"No,Thaddeus,I said I could not do it,I can't sleep" turning frustrated.

But he is persistent,he pulled her from her sit.

"Come on,Kyria mou,I know you are very tired,I can see under your eyes,you look weary,you'll scare the kids if you do not rest now,you'll look like a zombie soon"

It must be the exhaustion that she let him manipulate her into doing his will.

"I am fine,I can handle myself,I will sleep when I wanted to sleep" she insisted as they walk along the spacious hallway.

"I know you will,but you need it right now"

Like what he said,I really need that sleep,I can't remember which room in this big vacation house he took me.

We enter a room,with a much bigger bed in the middle. It's all white and cream,the linen of the bed is so soft in her skin. She felt like in heaven as she lay down in the big bed. The warmth of the body next to her help her to feel so relax. She did not bother to know what was happening around her.

She woke up feeling someone is watching over her,which is true. Thaddeus is walking around the room with a phone on his ear. His eyes on her while he talk in his native language.

It feels good after that nap,she sat up on the bed,he motioned her not to move. Still disorriented,she did not listen to him and why would she? Nakabawi na siya kahit paano sa pahinga na iyon.

He put his phone back on his pocket after the call,he strided towards her. She thought he would be mad at her for not listening. But she was wrong,he's so gentle,he sat on the side of the bed and caress her face with so much gentleness.

"I can see how confuse you are right now,we will talk,don't worry baby,from now on I will take care of everything,..I'm sorry for those years you were alone raising our kids,I sincerely apologise for what you have been through and I will forever regret that I was not beside you when you needed someone to lean on,I hope you will find in your heart to forgive me one day,Baby"

This is the shortest update I've done for this story.

Like I said last week,I'm going for a vacation,and tonight is my flight back to Philippines.

Sorry it took me time to update,my mind can't concentrate to think of the story flow. I am too excited to be back home after YEARS.

So bear with this short story,I will make up with you guys after my hangover with this travel.

It's a long flight ahead of me tonight.
