Meeting Brynn

MARCO'S P.O.V

School ended and me and Hayes were planning to introduce ourselves to Brynn quickly before football practice. We caught her at her locker right when she was about to leave. Hey there! Hayes said to her. Hello. She said slowly. My name is Brynnly, but you can call me Brynn for short. I nodded. Im Marco and thats Hayes i said. She burst into a grin while looking at me. Say you name again she said. Um...Marco. POLO!!! She yelled and burst into ridiculous giggles. Im sorry i just had to do that! I smiled at her its ok i said. Anyways Hayes said, coming to our football game tomorrow? Im quarterback. Yeah, im going with Mackenna and Kalsee. She replied. Im punter/kicker i said. She grinned at me. Then turned to Hayes good job you two for keeping fit and not being those couch potato boys who eat doritos and drink coke as the breakfast lunch and dinner while playing video games all day. She highfived us both. Her hand was soft and her skin smelled like lavender. Dont ask how i know. But i gotta go now. Wait one more thing i asked. Why did you move here? She blinked at me her face reddening but getting pale at the same time. Um..i...
You dont have to anwser Hayes said quickly hugging her. She supprisingly hugged back. Im sorry i started, i didnt mean to- no its fine she cut me off. But i really, really gotta go! How about giving me your number so we can, yknow talk whenever you get bored Hayes said ignoring what she just said. Fine, fine! She said as they exchanged numbers. Do you want mine too she asked me. Your choice i said. She smiled and we exchanged numbers just as the school buses wizzed by. Oh no she said. There goes my ride. Oh im so sorry we kept you so long! I said my face flushing. You can stay and watch us practice and i can get my ride to drive you home. Hayes invited. That would be great thanks Brynn said.

After we got changed we saw Brynn sitting on the side of the field. The Coach called Hayes to practice plays with the team and simply told me to practice kicking. Alone. I was at the edge of the feild kicking , over and over. You kick really good, i hear a small voice say behind me. I do ? I asked. Yea, she said, im guessing you played soccer. Why cuz im a Mexican? I teased her. She emediatly blushed. No! I didnt mean it to be racist she said franticly. I laughed i was just kidding! Oh...she said. Can i borrow you for a minute. I asked. She looked at me confused. What? She asked. I want to improve my speed i explained so i was hoping you could time the time it takes for me to get from one side of the feild to the other. Oh yea of course, she said, but you know what would be better she said. What? I asked. You running with weights- it will make you stronger AND faster! Where am i gonna get weights from? I asked. She grinned. I stared condused. Shen she jumped on my back. MUSH MARCO MUSH! She said. Then i understood. Oh YOUR my weight i said. YEP! She said beaming. Wait, i said but you weigh nothing! I teased. Just cuz im 4:8 doesnt mean im not heavy! She yelled. C'mon i said how much do you weigh?80 pounds. 89 she mumbled. I died of laughter right then and there and took off running, back and forth on each side of the field as she yelled MUSH MARCO POLO! MUSH I SAY!!

Football practice ended all to quickly.  i waved bye to her and she chest- bumped me out of nowhere hoping it would move me but i didnt even take a step back. I laughed and she pertended to be mad at me.

BRYNNLYS P.O.V

I met Hayes outside of the locker room after he changed and showered. You ready? He asked me. I nodded as he walked me to his moms car. Who is this pretty young lady Hayes? His mom asked. This is Brynn, can we drive her home mom? Hayes said. She nodded. So how do you like our school so far? Hayes asked. I love it i replied. I made lots of new friends and all of the teacher are really friendly. Im really glad i moved here. I smiled happily at him and we happily chatted all the way untill i reached my house. Thankyou so much Mrs.Grier i said. Anytime sweety, Mrs.Grier replied as i got out of the car. Hayes got out too and walked me down my driveway which i thought was completly unnecesary but polite. Once i got to my front door. Hayes smiled at me. I really enjoyed having you along and im looking foward to seeing you at school and at the football games. I smiled and we quickly hugged. See you around Hayes i said as a goodbye. He smiled as i walked into my home. Sorry im late mom i called. Its Fine i hear her call from her room. Your father is still at work, but how did you like you new school honey? My mom asked approching me. Oh mom i said. I love it here.
