A/N just a warning. This may get a little graphic. Not too bad, but will have a little blood. Just be warned. Love you all! ;)

My left hand shook as I reached out to open my white front door. Taking a deep breath, I walked in slowly, taking my my surrounds quietly. I looked over to our dining room table and saw my family, Alpha Tobias, and a new guy sitting around it. The new guy was tanned with blonde hair and blue eyes. The most prominent feature on him was the faded pink scar that ran from his hairline, down his left eye, and stopped at his full lips that were quirked up into a small smirk. He had his fingers locked behind his head, looking completely at ease. His demeanor made me like him instantly. He seemed like a fun guy to be around. Upon our arrival, the guys stood abruptly and nodded to us both in a respectful manner.

"Alpha. Luna." His voice was not as deep as Lucas's but it had more of a growl to it.

Slightly stunned that he would call me Luna, I looked up at Lucas only to find that he had his eyes locked on Alpha Tobias. I looked over at my old alpha and saw his blue eyes roaming my body. I was suddenly aware that I was only wearing Lucas's shirt. My cheeks heated instantly and I shifted uncomfortably against Lucas's side. A deep warning growl formed in Lucas's chest, his grey eyes turning black in pure anger. I watched as alpha Tobias' smirking face faltered and turned into a fearful glance.
I met my family's eyes one by one. I gave each of them a smile. My eyes landed on Matty who during this small exchange had walked over and gotten into mom's lap.

"Eric." Lucas said and the new guy walked forward. "Take Elyse to her room and help her pack. Make sure she stays safe.im trusting you." His voice held a hidden threat in the last statement.

"Yes, Alpha." The new guy whose name was Eric said. "I'll keep my Luna safe."

"Go with him" Lucas nudged me, looking down at me and meeting my brown eyes, his voice held no room for argument. "Pack whatever you need."

I nodded and walked to my room with one final look to my family as I did so. I heard Eric's footfalls behind me as I trudged up the stairs for what I assumed would be the last time. I reached my room and my eyes landed on my full sized bed wanting nothing more than to jump in, pulled the blankets over my head, and just sleep.
"What can I help you with, Luna?" The silence that surrounded us fell away.

I turned back to him and held out my hand with a heart felt smile on my face . "Please call me Elyse, Eric. I hope we can be friends,"

He instantly brightened the room with his white smile as he about crushed my hand in his.
"Nice to meet you, Elyse, And yes I hope we can be friends. Now what can I help you with?"

"I'm going to change and then I'll start packing." I said heading to my closet. "Make yourself at home."

I watched as he flopped on my bed sprawling out on my lime green and pink comforter. I chuckled and closed my closet door leaving me in darkness. I fumbled around looking for the chain over my head that would turn on the light above my ceiling. I managed to turn on the light and I busied myself with finding a fresh pair of panties and bra... preferably matching. I pulled on my new black set I bought last week before finding a pair of athletic shorts and a comfy t-shirt.

I walked out and saw Eric passed out on the bed.

Some guard dog.

I chuckled to myself as I started throwing my clothes and shoes in my duffle bag, not caring how neat they were. I threw a few of my books and journals in my other bag along with the money I had in my sock drawer. I ran to the bathroom and scooped up my personal hygiene bag and filled it with my shower items, facial cleanser, my small amount of make-up, and my tooth brush. With that I threw that bag into my other bag. I was ready to leave out the door when I remembered that my grandma's snow globe was still there. I ran and grabbed it and wrapped it up in my clothes to add some protection for my precious keepsake. I turned to Eric and called his name a few times before he reacted.

"What? What?" He said taking in his surroundings. "Oh shit. I'm sorry!" He jumped up off my bed, almost knocking into me in the process.

I chuckled as he took in the sight of my packed bags on my floor by my seat and rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry. I didnt sleep for 3 days." He said sheepishly.

"Well, I think I can forgive that. We just won't tell Lucas." I laughed.
His shoulders relaxed once again and his smile came back.

"Let me carry those for you." He grabbed up my bags and walked out the door. I walked out, looking back at my room one last time before I closed the door.

Once I was back down into living room, I was shocked by the mess that littered the floor. Papers were spread across the rug and hardwood flooring while my couch was flipped over on it's back. I heard hollering from the kitchen and I ran in with Eric on my heels. The sight I saw turned my stomach harshly. Blood splatters sprayed the floor and to the far right I saw Alpha Tobias and my dad beating down my mate who was slowly starting to stand again. A screech erupted from me as I ran and attached myself to Alpha Tobias whose face was already bloodied. I clawed his face as badly as I could and bit his hand that came up to cover his face. I growled and started biting and hitting any part of him I could teach. Suddenly and without a warning. I was thrown from my alpha and hit the floor. Alpha Tobias' howl of pain resounded through the kitchen. I winced shuffling back on my butt as fast as I could as alpha Tobias stalked towards me, his eyes blazing with fury.my heart pounded wildly in my chest. I saw his arm raise and come down toward me. I raised my arms to cover my head. A ferocious growl ripped through the air as my mate attacked my alpha. I got up on shaking legs and saw my dad who had stopped fighting standing next to Eric. I looked over at my mate to see him pounding my alpha into Oblivion. Blood poured out my Tobias' nose with each strike. I knew in my stomach that Lucas was going to kill him.

"Lucas stop!" I hollered. "Let him go, please."

At the sound of my voice, my mate stopped hitting my alpha. He stalked back to me and wrapped his arms around me, breathing in my scent.

"Say goodbye." He said, nodding to my family. He released me and allowed to go embrace my parents. Once I was heading toward my family, Lucas walked back to Tobias and I was afraid that he would start beating the man again, but instead he just learned down and whispered something in his ear that I could not hear.  Saying goodbye was so hard especially to my brothers. By the end, we were all in tears as Lucas grabbed my bags and my hand and pulled me out the door and into the huge black truck that was on the drive way. Eric got in the back seat, immediately stretching out while Lucas slammed the gear into reverse. And with that we left my family and past behind us.
