It takes me no time at all before I am pulling up to the store he told me about. There is a flashing sign next to the road advertising home cooked meal. At that time my stomach makes its self known.

As I walk in the store I am shocked to find it cool inside. There is a wonderful breeze flowing through the screen door. The shelves are stocked with all kinds of unusual items. I take a closer look at a bottle of horses liniment.

"Is there some way I can help you?" A older woman asked me from behind a long dinner style counter. She reminds me of the young man I just meet.

"Well I was just told that you sold sweet tea here?" her smile gets bigger.

"Why of course. Set yourself down and I will get you some." She begins to rush around. I take a seat at the bar. "So what finds yourself in this neck of our woods?" She questions me as she hands me my tea.

"I am on my way to Florida. I have a friend there. I am going to live with them, until I find a job and a place to live." I explain.

She looks at me with horror. "You can't mean that you are driving to Florida by your self sweetheart, where are you from?" She asked sweetly smiling at me. I wonder how that God of a man knows this sweet old lady? I pondered while sipping my tea.

"I'm from California Hollywood to be exact. I just needed a change of scenery. I've lived there basically my whole life."

She takes a look at the clock over the cash register. "Why it's already two o'clock. By the time you get back on the road and get to your friends it will be past one am."

She shakes her head. "You already look give out. Why don't you rest for the night. We have a wonderful boarding house just across the street. You can get a fresh start in the morning. I am sure my son would be glad to keep you company if you like."

I have to admit it does sound like a good idea. "Who is your son?" I ask her.

"Oh Opie, he is very nice, I raised him to be a prefect gentleman. You need not worry. I will just give him a call." She makes her way to find her phone.

"Where is he?" I ask her but never expected to hear what came out her sweet mouth. I praised the gods up above for it.

"He is trying to sale the last of our greens. It wont take me a minute to get him. As soon as I find my phone."  She huffed looking behind the counter.

"You know what, don't worry about calling him I know right where to find him." I smile thinking about that God like creature on the side of the road. I was excited I would get to see him again.

"Well good you go tell him I said to bring you back here, and get something to eat." She gives me a knowing smile.

"Yes ma'am I will do that thank you for the tea how much do I owe you?" I asked her pulling out my wallet. But she just shook her head and said no charge at all. She sent me on my way to go find "Opie" I chuckled at his name. I got in my car and went back the way I came. I got stuck behind a tractor and groaned so loudly it was probably heard the county over. This thing is getting in my way. I guess I can't complain to much seeing s that's where my food comes from. It finally turned off on a damn dirt road I scowled at the dirt road remembering earlier incident.

I finally saw the road side stand a few minutes later and waved through the window at him. I got out and noticed that someone was here with him. He wasn't bad looking either. I am starting to think that all the good looking guys were stored away in this town. I mean seriously what do they feed them here!

I walked up to him and he beat me to it.

"Mama send you back here?" He asked while a small smile played on his lips. His beautiful lips I might add with his nice eyes and jaw line. I shook my head to try and clear the fog
"She did she actually forced me to stay the night here said I should be driving so late. She also said for you to bring me back to the store to feed me. I'm Meredith by the way and you don't have to do that if you don't want." I assured him. He started to say something but was cut off by the guy next to him.

He smiled so big at me "I'm Jacob! It's so nice to meet you I'm this big dummy's best friend."

I laughed out loud and said "It's nice to meet you Jacob."

"It would be my pleasure to take you to get something to eat. That's mama for you always the mother hen." Opie said chuckling a little bit. "Just let me load up the truck and we can go." He said as he got out the truck with Jacob they started loading it I asked if I could help but they both looked at me like I'd grown another head. With everything loaded we headed back to the sweet little store. I was driving while thinking about how nice everyone here was. It was a nice change from all the people I had met over the road. We got to the store and we all got out and they asked if I was hungry cause mama would be feeding me like I've never ate before. I assured them that I could handle what ever she threw at me.
