Adonis' POV

"Give me that! "
Eve unexpectedly snatched the television remote control I was holding.
"I mean who on earth stays up at night just to watch football." she continued, waving the remote in my face.
Don't react I kept telling myself. Four years of torment should have been enough to get used to her craziness, but it wasn't.
She keeps finding new ways to get under my skin and she always succeeds. By the way, you can't fight a man in his own house. Same goes for a brat.
"Don't you have pack duties to perform?! and look at me when I am talking to you "
I hesitated before looking up at her to give her a piece of my mind.
"You.... Whoa!"
She had turned to the television giving me a full view of her backside. The skimpy, see- through nightie she was wearing was enough to make any red blooded male throw away his discipline and I wasn't an exception.
"Hey where do you think you are going. I'm not done yet "
I stopped midway the staircase and turned to her.
" I think you have done enough. Goodnight "
It would be a curse from the moon goddess to have her as a mate. I pity her dad already. I thought entering my room and slamming the door.
You might be asking how I ended up here.
Here's a recap.

Six years ago.....

I fought hard not to sleep off on the ground, leaning against a tree trunk near the border while facing the direction mom took.
I don't even know why it's called a border. There was no fence, no traps, no barbs.

She didn't come. I really wanted to go look for her, but I didn't know the way back to my pack. I've never left the pack house before.
As I busy contemplating on what to do, I slept off.

She didn't return by Dawn.
I looked towards the border and I caught sight of pack warriors patrolling the border.
I was getting really hungry, my stomach grumbled in agreement.
I looked at the direction mom took last night and it didn't look welcoming, don't wanna run into rogue territory.

Gotta cross the border I decided.
I silently moved closer to the border, using the trees as cover.
I needed to cross without being noticed, Oliver, my best friend, claimed to have done it before. I don't even know where he was.

There were three men in all. One was making a phone call.
Not taking his job seriously, must be the leader I thought and an idea occurred to me.
I picked up a medium sized stone
And attached it to the catapult dad gave me.
Taking a good stance, I aimed at his forehead.
Not trying to be a David, but dad always says to attack and weaken the leader first, then killing the followers would be easy.
Dad always made me follow him to the pack training since I turned ten even though I haven't met my wolf.
I took part in the morning run, I knew a few war tricks and I could really kick.

I released the stone praying it hits it's target.
I heard it land and he dropped his phone.
"Ouch! My nose! " he yelled falling to his knees, fanning his bleeding nose with his hands.
Oops! It was not to land there, but it created a nice distraction.
The remaining two rushed to him.
"Now! "I whisper yelled and zoomed past the border, silently praying that they don't notice me.
"Hey! You! Stop! "
They noticed anyways and chased after me.
"Don't shift, don't shift " I started chanting. I know I stood no chance against wolf speed.

At a point, I stopped hearing their footfalls. I stopped running and turned to know what happened.

The three were no longer chasing after me. They looked like they were meditating or thinking, sort of.
Mind-link! How could I have forgotten about that I face palmed myself.
There was no point in running anymore. The rest of the pack must be coming for me.
The full moon pack is known for its brutality Oliver says.
