Rosswood, Wisconsin. A small town with a big problem. Two months ago, a local orphanage was burned to the ground. The arsonist is yet to be caught, and no motive is clear. The town mourns this as a tragedy, but the townsfolk don't know the full story. The Rosswood Orphanage was run by a corrupt man named Anderson Cooper, who worked an illegal sweatshop behind its doors. The arsonist, a 16 year old boy, didn't burn down the building with a match and gasoline. He was a Demidemon, half-demon half-human.
Fueled by rage, the advice from an echoing voice in the back of his mind, the desire to save his friends, and a deep loathing for Cooper and a local bully named Harvey Brooks, he killed five people with his bare hands and burned the rest of the orphans to death. After dragging himself out of the rubble, he found out the source of his powers. His father, a demon named Azrael, appeared before him and explained that the voice in the back of his mind was him. He agreed to save his son's life, but only if he was allowed to live within the depths of his mind. The boy accepted, and found himself in a different orphanage, one with gifted people.
That boy is me. My name is Kai, and my life has been turned upside down. But the ride isn't over yet. I am about to be thrust into a world of monsters and killers. And I'm going into it all alone.
