We entered the castle from the back and we went into my room. "I'm going to curse my parents out for this," I said looking in my drawer for some more comfortable clothes. "I wouldn't blame you. If Tsunami and I was betroth, I would burn the whole castle down," Seeri said and Tsunami nudged her arm. "No you wouldn't. You'd probably want us to get married right here right now," He teased and Seeri blushed.
"Tsunami, I need you to go in the bathroom right quick," I said pointing to my bathroom. "Why?" He asked. "Because I have to change," I yelled. "In that case, I'm out," He said and walked into the bathroom. "Seeri turn your head," I ordered and she did.
"So what are you going to do about mom and dad?" She asked with her head still turned. "I was thinking about sending wild dogs after my parents," Tsunami yelled through the bathroom door. "I don't know. I'm just going to ask them and Kamoto's parents questions until they come clean," I said taking off the gown and replacing it with a red, shorter one, puffy one with a black belt around it.
"Then once again, I'm going to tell them to call off the betroth," I continued and yanked off the tiara and put on some white flats that I haven't worn in forever. "OK Tsunami, you can come out," I said and sat on my bed with Seeri. Tsunami came out and sat on my nightstand. "This sucks for me too. My girlfriend is going to be my sister-in-law," Tsunami said staring at Seeri. "G-G-G-irlfriend," Seeri stutter and I laughed.
"Well yeah, that kiss wasn't for nothing," Tsunami said and sat beside her on my bed. "I knew you liked me the whole time." He said and held her hand. "It was pretty obvious," I said. "I know. I'm so glad you're my boyfriend now," Seeri blushed.
"And that also means that I have a boyfriend before Nusami does," She yelled in surprised, jumped up, and did a victory dance. "I have a boyfriend and Nusami don't. I have a boyfriend and Nusami don't," She sung and I just ignored it. "You've never had a boyfriend, Nusami? I can't tell," Tsunami teased.
I groaned and headed towards the door. "Where's your parents and mines?" I asked. "They're still in the library, I assume," Tsunami answered. "Good. Now both of you, get out of my room," I ordered and they walked out with me.
"There's a game room on the 5th floor. If you want to go up there and if you run into Kamoto, don't tell him where I am. Got it?" I said making sure my statement was clear. "Yeah, yeah. We hear you," Seeri said and grabbed Tsunami's hand and headed for the flight of stairs that went up.
I went to the stair case that went down and to the library. I found my parents and Kamoto's parents sitting down having tea and biscuits. Really, tea and biscuits with all the stuff that is going on right now. I sat in the comforter where I sat earlier and crossed my legs. "Nusami, I see you have calmed down and came to your wits," Mother said taking a sip of tea.
"I have calmed down but I'm not the one who has lost my mind, Mother," I said and she stopped sipping her tea and looked at me from the cup. "I beg your pardon?" She said almost slamming the cup. "Nusami, you do not talk to your mother like that," Father said. "I should and you too. You all didn't talk to me and see how I felt about this arranged marriage," I said looking at Kamoto's parents.
"It was Kamoto's decision, Princess Nusami," Queen Katherine said. "Lies," I yelled. "It was not his choice to marry me, it was yours. I know the truth and during the meeting Kamoto tried to take up for you." Queen Katherine and King Florance exchanged looks. "Where did you get that ridiculous thought from? Of course Kamoto wants to marry you," Katherine said looking at Mother.
"Don't make me think that I'm crazy. One of your counselors overheard Kamoto talking about me and told you. You suggested that we should be married and informed my parents. My parents agreed and now here's some drama," I said and everyone fell silent. "Did I leave out anything Mother and Father? How about you King Florance and Queen Katherine?" I interrogated.
Then Father spoke for everyone, "No." I folded my arms and I had a victory smerk on my face. "Can you please call off the betroth?" I asked. "No," Mother said. My smerk fell and I unfolded my arms. "What," I whined. "This isn't fair. Kamoto and I don't want this."
"I'm sorry Princess Nusami but by the words of Macbeth, 'What's done is done'," King Florance quoted. I gave one more final look at my parents and their face had 'Final' written all over them. "This is unbelievable," I said with disdain. "Your dress fitting is tomorrow and the wedding is a week after you and Kamoto are crowned King and Queen," Mother said. "I'm not going," I said disrespectfully. "You have no choice," Father said and I got up and walked away.
"Let's just see about that," I mumbled and forcefully pushed the double doors open and startled the servants standing there. I stomped all the way up to the 5th floor and into the game room where Seeri and Tsunami were playing air hockey. Seeri looked up at me and Tsunami scored his puck on her side. "Hey, that wasn't fair you cheater," She said and threw down the little pusher. He laughed and stuck his tongue out. "How did it go?" Tsunami asked.
"I can't believe them! I can't marry him! This is way too much for me. First the early practice, then the queen crap, and now marriage!" I yelled.
"I'll take that as a no," Tsunami said and Seeri came up to me and patted me on the back. "Maybe it won't be that bad. I mean when our parents aren't around, you can be normal friends and when they're around you can pretend to love each other," She suggested. "No, I don't wanna do none of that crap," I cried. "Well, what are you going to do?" Tsunami asked walking over to the PAC-man game.
"I'm going to run away from all this mess." I said. "What," Seeri yelled. "You can't. There are going to be guards and everything because of all of this. Mom and dad are one step ahead of you, Nusami," Seeri explained.
"Screw that plan. I don't know what I'm going to do," I said putting my face in my hands. "You are messed up. This is tragic," Tsunami said smashing the red button and twisting the knob on the game. "Thanks that's helping a lot, Tsunami," I said sarcastically and Tsunami shrugged.
"I'm going to my room. When it's time for dinner, tell the servants to bring my food to me," I said and went to the door. "OK. But Nusami, everything is going to be alright," Seeri said with worry and reassurance in her voice. "Yeah, whatever," I said and closed the door.
Author's Note:
Well she tried for a while. She had victory for a short moment.
I hate when parents try to control your life all the time. Especially mines.
Anyways, I kind like this chapter though, but the main question is: Do you like the books so far? Also my new book is coming out called Magic Is Everywhere. Go read it. I think you would love it.
