Call Me Karma

It's too late

I introduce the new teaser trailer to Call Me Karma! Enjoy! Before you start reading let me just say that it would mean a lot if you comment and vote.

I was standing on the other side of the street with my hands tucked inside my coat and my nose nuzzled inside my wool scarf. He looked around but he didn't notice me at all. It was obvious that he was looking for someone, whoever it was it must have been important because he couldn't stop fidgeting with his fingers. 

I smiled at him, like those silly girls at school do. When I realize what I had just done I erased the foolish grin and sat down on a nearby bench. He was dressed in a black coat on top of a navy blue collar sweater. He had a scarf around his neck and a beanie neatly placed on his head. He looked gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. He started typing something on his phone. His cheekbones looked soft against his slightly bronzed skin, the tip of his nose was red from the cold. A pair of heeled black boots walked closer to him making tap noises. The girl's long legs moved swiftly like she was on the catwalk and her beautiful face was illuminated by one of those smiles that you only see in a Christmas catalog. Reed looked up and I could almost swear that his smile matched hers except that he a tiny hint of his signature smirk. 

I surely wasn't prepared for what happened next. No, my heart at least wasn't. She hugged him with those skinny arms of hers while he nuzzled his nose on her hair. They looked like the perfect cover for a romantic movie and even I couldn't deny it. 

Something inside me broke, and I knew that it was all my fault. I was naive enough to let myself fall for Reed. I knew how he was and yet after a lot of denying he somehow managed to crawl into my now rotting heart. 

I turned around and started to walk back home leaving everything behind. I said goodbye to those nights of singing 80's songs in Reed's Cadillac, to those schemes he helped me plan and especially to those tiny traces that he managed to leave in my heart. I felt my fortress crumble in tiny pieces and all there was left from this disaster was a lonely girl, a vendetta, and a once-removed name on my list.  

Hello! I am sooooooo late on my updates. It is a short chapter because now the story is entering a new phase. After this semi goodbye *sob* Cora will continue with the list and meet new people and maybe she might bring herself to continue the story with Parker.
