Part Three - The New School

As you walked away from the school James asked for your number. You put your number into his phone with the title Caitlyn ❤️ hopping he would clue in when he texted you.
As he walked you to your front door your heart came to realization that you will have to wait to see him until tomorrow.
"Do you want to go get Starbucks tomorrow before school with me."
You were speechless and didn't know what to say. A few moments pass and you agreed.
"I'll text you later?"
"Sure"
You opened the door to see your mother on the floor pale. You run over to her and call 911 and start yelling "Mom!" You then started CPR hoping it wasn't too late. A few minutes pass and the paramedics take over. They put her on a stretcher and take her away. James just stood there speechless. After the paramedics left the Drive way. James came over to you and put his arms around you. You lean on his chest and cry for a few minutes. Then you start to ramble on not caring if he wanted to here it or not. "It has only been me and her since I was seven when my father died." You then whipped you eyes not caring what you look like.
"I'm so sorry Caitlyn, I know you have had a really rough day but you got to get through it."
"Yes, I know." You said
"So, what do you say you go change into your comfy clothes wipe off that make up and I'll buy you some food and will go to the hospital."
"Ok," you lifted your head up off his chest and went upstairs to your bedroom. You took off your makeup and redid your hair and put it into a very messy bun. Through on a pair of black tights and a oversized navy blue sweater. You then put on your Uggs and went back downstairs.
You then went outside and walked back to his house to grab his truck. He took you inside to his parents. You greeted them. "Hello, I'm Caitlyn,"
"Hello Caitlyn, I'm Mrs.Case but you can call me Janet,"
"James then asks his mom if he can borrow the truck for the night, he explains the situation.
Janet then came over and gave you a big hug and said if you need anything just ask me and Mr.Case. You the realize that is where James gets it from. You then said your goodbyes and went into the garage. Where there was a Block Dodge Ram 1500 lifted with camo rims.
"Wow, nice truck," you didn't think he was a country guy by the way he dressed.
"Thanks to my Dad, has it customized for my 16th birthday,"
"Thanks nice." You then left the drive way.
"Where are we going for food?"
"Well I'm feeling a burger,"
"Sounds good, but a burger from where?"
"I'm not from around this area so, what are your recommendations,"
"Let's just go to the fist place that comes in mind when you say burger."
You then both said A&W at the same time. You laughed. You arrived A&W and got the classic burger with fries. You thanked James for the meal and made your way to the hospital. When you got to the hospital and went in the emergency department. James followed. You asked the front desk where Lori Brooks is. She took you to a room where your mother laid not looking very well. As you started to cry again, the doctor walked in.
