-Tobuscus's POV-

"Everyone give our newest resident a big welcome!"

Everyone clapped, others whistling.

"Your house is finally done and ready to move into, Tobuscus. What are you going to do first?" The Mayor asked.

"I will prepare for an opening feast, tonight!" Tobuscus announced.

Applause went throughout the area.

"Everyone is welcome to come! 6:30 Tonight!" Tobuscus walked off the stage.

"Wow, how exciting! I sure will come. Anyway, back to the news desk," The Mayor said.

Tobuscus went backstage where his friends were waiting.

"Good job, Toby," Kityan said, patting his back.

"Thanks."

"Hey, Tobuscus. I'll help you tonight with the feast if you want," Jasper said.

"Thank you, Jasper. I could use someone who could count how many guests we have tonight."

"K, I'll be there!" Jasper walked off.

"I can also help tonight, Tobuscus. What else do you need?" Pin asked.

"You can set the tables."

"Okay, see you there." Pin also walked off.

"I'll cook the food, Toby," Kityan announced.

"Alright, thanks."

So the both of them headed for Tobuscus's house.

"How long were you planning for this feast?" Kityan asked.

"I thought of it when we were retrieving the Orb of Life."

"Oh, that was nice of you to do: Open up your newly finished house to everyone," Kityan said. She kissed him on the cheek.

"I'll see you then."

Kityan ran off to her cookoff she had this evening.

"Alright, see ya."

Tobuscus sees his beautifully done house. He stands there in aw. He would feel envy towards anyone who owned this house.

"I am one lucky cat," Tobuscus whispered to himself.

He ran to the entrance of his home.

"Okay..." Tobuscus said, closing his eyes.

"3, 2, 1!" Tobuscus swings open the door.

The house was beautiful! Hardwood floors, just the way he loves them. The lodge gave that nice country vibe. Crystal clear giant windows. This house was a dream come true.

"Wow..."

Tobuscus ran to every part of the house.

"This so beats Kityan's house."

Kityan was a princess, but she never wanted to be treated like one. She wanted to be treated like everyone else. Instead of building a house she always dreamt of, she just built a simple, okay looking house.

"I'll probably never leave. Then again... when will I hunt?" Tobuscus laughed.

*knock knock knock*

It was Jasper!

"Hey, Tobuscus," Jasper greeted.

"Hey Jasper, What are you doing here?" Tobuscus asked.

"Here for the feast. Am I early? I've been struggling with telling time in school lately."

"Yeah, you're early. Two hours early, in fact."

"Oh whoops, sorry about that."

"It's fine... wanna come in?" Tobuscus asked.

"Yes!" Jasper burst into the house.

"Wow! This so beats Kityan's!" Jasper yelled.

"That's what I said!" Tobuscus laughed.

"Here are the supplies for your job tonight."

Tobuscus handed Jasper a chewed pen and an old notebook.

Jasper examined the pen and notebook.

Jasper held up the pen like it was covered in poison.

Do you got another pen? This one is... chewed."

"Oh..... sorry. Yeah, I got another one."

Tobuscus ran over to a cup full of pens and threw one at Jasper.

"Catch!"

"Gah!"

The pen hit Jasper's face.

"Practice makes perfect," Tobuscus said, tossing up a pen and catching it.

"Right," Jasper replied, rubbing his nose.

*Knock knock knock*

"Again?"

Tobuscus went to the door and opened it.

It's Kityan!

"Hey, Toby."

Kityan was holding a fresh batch of cupcakes.

"Woah! What are these for?" Tobuscus asked.

"They're for the feast, duh," Kityan said walking into the house.

"Wow, what a nice place, Toby. It does beat my house," Kityan announced.

"That's what we- nevermind. Set those over there."

Tobuscus pointed to the kitchen.

"Alright."

Kityan set the cupcakes on the counter.

"So, did you invite your family to the feast?" Jasper asked.

"Oh, hey Jasper. Didn't see you there," Kityan said.

"Yup, I'm here. Anyway, are you?"

"Are we what?" Tobuscus asked.

"Inviting your family to the feast."

No-one said anything.

"Did I say something wrong?" Jasper asked in the silence.

"No, Jasper.... we just don't talk about that," KItyan said, now sounding a little depressed.

"If you don't mind. Can I ask why?"

*sigh*

"Okay... I'll tell you," Tobuscus announced.

"You don't have to, Toby," Kityan said.

"No Kityan, It's fine... the reason we can't invite our family is..... they suddenly got seriously depressed. We don't know why, they never told us," Tobuscus announced.

"Goodness, Tobuscus. I had no idea..."

"We wanted to investigate their 'depression' recently, but we never got to it," Tobuscus added.
