Lyra
Poseidon and Amphititre have left for Olympus. Belen and I are going to remain here in charge. We don't have much work. With the workload split between our rulers, we didn't have much left to do.

However, we didn't have much experience of this job. Poseidon never left the palace unless he had to, or if he was visiting Hades and Persephone.

I heard a knock on the door. Maybe that's someone to inform me that Amphititre and Poseidon are back. I opened the door to see Belen.

My heart fluttered at the sight of him, as it always did. He was wearing a tuxedo, and he looked great, as always.

Oh god I forgot! Belen had invited me to a date, like he did every time Poseidon wasn't here. But I had been too busy with an ill cook's work that I didn't realise that two hours had passed so quickly.

'I-, I, Julie wasn't here and umm, I forgot because I had to do stuff, and-'

'It's alright. Half an hour.'

I nodded and quickly ran to my closet. Amphititre had gifted me a new dress as a thank you; Belen had never seen it before.

Yes, I'll wear that. Then hair, makeup, shoes. Oh damn it.

Belen
This half an hour is taking forever. One more minute. Just one more minute. Thirty seconds, twenty, ten, five. Finally I hear the grandfather clock chime. Yes!

I rush to her room and knock again. I hear her tripping over a bunch of stuff. She opens the door and I freeze.

She. Looks. Amazing.

'Is there something wrong?'

'Oh no, no. You look stunning.'

'Are we going to the beach like normal?'

I smiled.

'No, I have a surprise for you. I'll transport you there.'

The usual falling sensation came back, and then we got to our destination.

She thankfully had her eyes shut.

'You can open your eyes now.'

Lyra
Wow. The whole of the great hall had been decorated. There was one table in the centre and other tables near the walls.

'Do you like it?'

'It's amazing.'

Belen led me to the table in the middle. We sat down and almost immediately, one of my friends came up and served our favourite foods. All the other couples in the palace sat at tables of their own.

We chatted for a long time before I caught Belen winking at one his friends. He came back with a cake, saying 'Happy Anniversary.'

I forgot that to. Oops?

Oh wait, I have something.

Then Belen got up and he went down on one knee.

'Lyra, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me. Will you marry me?'

'Yes, I will.'

I kissed him. Everyone around us cheered. But all I saw was Belen smiling at me.

Him with me is all that matters.
