POV Scott
I woke up one morning to Kirstin who was shaking my arm, calling my name softly to try and wake me up. After a short groan in complaint, she shouted a bit louder, triggering me to jump up and growl in her direction.
"Kirstin, what the frig do you want so early in the morning, honey?" I asked gently when I saw that the clock was just reaching four o'clock. She took a shaky breath before sitting down beside me, frowning."I know it's early and I could wait until the morning when you wake up, but I feel really lonely after Casper left and I thought- I thought I heard a noise downstairs and I-I-I-" she let out a soft sob as I held her to my chest, stroking her hair gently as she hid her head on my shoulder and stained my t-shirt with her tears. I felt bad for her, because she meant what she said, I knew that, and Casper was a good friend of hers. They did almost everything together, sometimes counting sleeping together.
"Shh breathe hon, we'll soon have another omega for you to play with, okay?"
She nodded hesitantly, looking up at me with those beautiful eyes. They held so many emotions from her past, that was heartbreaking. She lost a good friend- not Casper- she spent 5 years at an abusive school that treated her and her friend like shit, and I've tried so many times to help her escape her past, but I guess it just doesn't work like that."Alpha, can I sleep in your bed until morning?" She asked softly, causing me to smile asI laid down with her cuddled up against me, "thank you, Alpha.. for not giving up on me."
"I could never give up on you." I whispered, causing her to smile as she wrapped her arms around me and cuddled further into my side. We both fell asleep like this, and the next morning, I woke to the smell of blueberry pancakes. Opening my eyes, I found Kirstin setting a plate of pancakes with maple syrup, bananas and butter on top on my bedside table.
"Morning Sir, I made you some blueberry pancakes because I know how much you enjoy them." She smiled when I sat up, propping myself with my hands as I struggled to sit up strait. Once I finally did, she sat down beside me and watched as I took a bite of her pancakes and hummed.
"Kirstie, these pancakes are superb!" I moaned, taking another bite. She giggled after a while and grabbed my hands to stop me while I chewed, and so I looked over at her and grinned. "Thanks."
"You're welcome alpha."
We continued to eat in a comfortable silence until both of us were finished, and so she took my plate along with hers and put the cutlery on the top before leaving the room, allowing me time to get dressed and shower. Once I'd done that, I walked out to see her talking to her parents from the phone, giggling and laughing.
"Dad! How dirty can your mind possibly get??" She laughed, causing me to smile as I sat down beside her and took my phone out of my pocket and went onto Twitter, "okay, that's pretty bad- no, no, I certainly DON'T need details!"After about ten minutes, she hung up and put her phone back in her bag, grinning from ear to ear, "Michael is so disgusting sometimes."
"It's michael, what do you expect?" She laughed loudly before hugging me, smiling deeply, "I'm gonna tell him you said that."
"Go 'head, he knows it's a fact."
She laughed again before getting off her seat and grabbing ner bag and purse, motioning for me to get up."We need to go get stuff from the shops, alpha!" She stated, causing me to raise an eyebrow, "for what exactly?"
She rolled her eyes playfully, "for the barbecue tonight! We have people coming over, remember?"
"Oh yes, I do remember quite frankly! Let's go, shall we?"
"We shall!"
I linked my arm with hers as we walked ourselves out to the car, where she let go and got inside, shivering slightly. When I got in, I slipped my jacket over her shoulders as she grinned and thanked me politely. With a nod, I started our kia and drove onto the street, smiling contently when I caught Kirstin singing softly, All of Me by John Legend."You sing that song amazingly well, Kirstie." I smiled, causing her to blush a deep red, stopping her singing.
"Thank you alpha. Do you think we could walk from Mcdonalds?"
"Yes of coarse, any particular reason?"
"Nope." She shrugged, "I just think that it would be nice if we got some exercise, that's all."
"Sounds good to me."
She nodded and so I pulled over at the McDonald's parking lot and got out, Kirstin doing the same.
