CW: Attempted r*ape scene

Solas fiddled with his servants hat as he waited to be introduced. Hale has yet to show up and that is concerning him, what if she got caught up with some touchy nobleman?

"And now presenting: Grand Duke Gaspard De Chalons, and accompanying him..." the presenter looked uncomfortable for a second before continuing. "Lady Inquisitor Adaar!" the Inquisitor walked down the stairs and Solas rolled his eyes at the whisperers of the people in the court. He tuned out the rest of the introductions until they got to him.

"The Lady Inquisitors elven serving man, Solas!" He called out, Solas walked forward, head held high at the nobles looking down upon him.

"Introducing Lady Hale! Arcane Warrior of the Inquisition, and emissary to the Lady Inquisitor." Solas turned toward Hale and he felt like someone had stolen the air from his lungs. Walking down the stairs in a beautiful emerald dress, that accentuated her body was Hale. Her slave markings in clear view of everyone, her blood red hair in a pile of curls atop her head, dark kohl surrounded her eyes, making her orange eyes brighten, a dark ruby red was gracing her perfect lips. She was the most beautiful person Solas has ever seen. She looked like she could be an evanuris. She gracefully walked up to the dais before Empress Celene and bowed her head slightly. After Yassin spoke to the Empress, they all went their separate ways.

Hale had been stationed in the garden's with Dorian. The two stood next to each other sipping on the wine an eager servant had given them.

"Isn't it funny how the nobles avoid us, but the servants fill up our cups, no problem?" Dorian asked Hale, humor lacing his voice.

"It's cause I have pointy ears and you're a dreaded magister." Hale wiggled her fingers, Dorian laughed and shook his head.

"You are positively correct my dear." the two sat in comfortable silence, Yassin walked into the garden but before she could walk up to the two she was surrounded by Celene's ladies in waiting. Hale smirked as Yassin walked over to them, exhaustion clear on her face.

"This is all so familiar. I half expect my mother to materialize from the crowd and criticize my manners." Dorian smirked up at Yassin, Hale barked out a laugh.

"Oh I can do that for her you know." Dorian rolled his eyes at Hale. "I'll make some rounds, see you two later." They both nodded at her as she walked inside. Hale didn't make it far before she found Solas in a corner.

"Hello lethal'lin." Hale spoke as she walked up to Solas, glass in hand. He smiled wide at her.

"Lethal'lan. Ah I do adore the heady blend of power, intrigue, danger, and sex that permeates these events." Solas took another sip of his wine, missing the blush covering Hale's ears.

"You seem just as comfortable as I do here Solas." Hale unknowingly walked closer to Solas.

"I have seen countless such displays in my journeys in the Fade." He answered back without hesitation, Hale knew the truth, but drunkenly telling the truth would get them nowhere. A servant walked up to them with a smile and refilled both their glasses. Hale sipped on her glass.

"I heard that we will be staying in the palace tonight." Hale spoke to Solas as she stood too close next to him. He hummed his response.

"Is that so?" He turned to her, his stormy eyes finding hers. She nodded and heard a bell. She watched the Inquisitor walk by them with a wolfish grin on her face.

"Ooo, this seems interesting, I shall join her. See you later Solas." Hale placed her glass on the windowsill and followed off behind Yassin. By the time Hale caught up to Yassin she was already talking with Morrigan. Hale quietly composed herself and walked towards the two woman.

"I hope I am not interrupting something." She drawled out, Yassin turned towards Hale shaking her head.

"Not at all Hale."

"Ah, Lady Hale, you are an Arcane Warrior yes?" Morrigan turned to Hale. Hale nodded. "I knew someone who was taught the ways of an Arcane Warrior. I had not expected to see another in my lifetime."

"You'll come to know that I am full of surprises." Hale smirked, Morrigans lips quirked up, she bowed to the two and walked away. Yassin and Hale shared a look and walked into the ballroom. Yassin walked up to Varric, Vivienne, and Blackwall. The four of them walked out of the ballroom to go investigate the servants quarters. Hale walked up to Josephine.

"Ah hello Hale. How are you faring?" Josephine asked with concern in her voice. Hale smiled softly.

"I am fine, thank you for asking." Hale leaned up against the railing besides Josephine. She zoned out only to come back to reality when she heard Josie gasp, she looked over to see Florianne asking the Inquisitor for a dance. But what Josephine gasped at was that Gaspard was making his way towards them. He stopped before them and bowed before Hale.

"May I have this dance, Lady Hale?" He asked. Hale looked at Josie quickly who nodded. Hale bowed in response.

"Of course my Grace." He held out his hand for her to grab and he led her down to the dance floor. They positioned themselves behind Yassin and Florianne. As they started the dance, Gaspard started talking to Hale.

"So how did the Inquisition come upon a beautiful creature like you?" He kept a firm grip on her hand.

"Would you believe me if I told you they found me in the wilds?" Hale's voice had an underlying tone to it. Gaspard chuckled.

"You have a certain, wild feeling to you. Now, you are a woman who is close to the Inquisitor no?" Gaspard asked as they twirled around the floor.

"I am her emissary, my Grace." Hale responded, his eyes lit up every time she said his title and it took every muscle in her body to not show her disgust.

"So you would be able to put in a good word for me?" he leaned down and whispered in her ear. "I'd be sure to make it worth your while." Hale shuddered at the closeness of his breath which he took in a different meaning. Hale noticed that besides the Inquisitor and Florainne, they were the only ones left dancing. As Florainne and Yassin left the floor, they were still dancing, Hale hid her fear. "Do not worry my dear, you'll enjoy yourself later." Hale's eyes went wide as Gaspard dipped her low to the ground, she brought her leg up to steady herself. He gave her a wolfish grin as he planted a sloppy kiss on her neck. The crowd around them erupted in applause. Hale and Gaspard split up to bow and went their separate ways. Hale made her way up to the advisers and Yassin.

"That looked uncomfortable." Yassin murmured as she watched Hale. Hale shuddered as she wiped off her neck.

"Tell me about it. The Grand Duke wishes me to put in a good word for him." Hale bowed and walked away, needing to leave the ballroom.
