As the week went on, Harry began to feel better but he was still worrying about how much money his dads were losing. He didn't realise they still got paid while having time off. He also worried he was taking time from his brothers. But then Harry realises he was being punished with the nappies and the cold baths he had had earlier that week.
Harry saw the happiness in his dads faces when his nappies were dry and he went toilet. Well, he thought it meant they were happy Harry be going back to school so they could go work and not look after him no more. He hid all the accidents he did still have from his parents, it was only the odd one or two during the day and most nights, but when he saw his dads so happy he couldn't tell them the medication wasn't fully working. He was dreading going back to school as he was worried about having to hold it and couldn't, but he couldn't take more time of his dads to sort him out a toilet pass with the school but he couldn't skip school or his dads be mad at him again. Even though Zayn had lifted his punishment, Harry still went ahead with it just to remind himself where his place was.
He had also noticed he was getting a lot of extra food, he put most of it in his pockets to keep for times when he was punished and really needed food he hid it in a draw in his bedroom things like sandwiches and crisps and anything else he could hide to save him going through bins.
Monday came all too fast for Harry, he was dreading it he hadn't even really stepped into the gate and his bullies started on him. Seb pushed him to the ground demanding all the money he was owed from last week when Harry wasn't there. All Harry managed to give him was today's money and that earnt him a punch in the stomach what made Harry feel like he wanted to throw up.
Harry actually liked form room this morning as his teacher told them about football tryouts at lunchtime and the team will practice every Monday after school for an hour then have matches on Fridays against other schools.
Harry decided he was going to try out, as his parents got home late on Mondays so his brothers normally went out with their mates and Fridays his brothers were doing things so his dads worked late as it was easier to pick them straight up from work. So, no one would miss him.
By time lunch time came he had to make a quick trip to the bathroom, he was so glad Seb and his gangs weren't there as they had gone straight to tryouts. Harry then quickly goes to the locker room and gets changed into his pe kit then goes into the gym. Seb spots him.
"Oi what u think you're doing here your too fat to play football," says Seb
"Yeah, if losers get on the team then well never win," says Olly, a friend of Sebs.
"Harry Malkison" said the coach. He knew both Harry's brothers and knew they were very talented in football along with other sports so had high hopes for Harry.
Harry, who never plays football, just watches his brothers actually did really well because he was tall and slim he ran a lot faster than most Year 7's and managed to score a lot of goals.
He was really surprised when the coach picked him for the team and he was handed his uniform. He felt so happy but he couldn't tell his family, it would take all the limelight of Liam and Niall, who had worked hard, where he hadn't.
He then realised he needed to get some football boots. He didn't know whether his brothers had some old ones he could fit in to. As soon as he got home, he started the hunt for old football boots but unlucky for Harry, he couldn't any or any shin pads what he just remembered he needed.
He then had an idea, he could go online and buy some. His dads got his brothers stuff online all the time he knew they had an online account with a sports website. He decides to sneak into his dad's study and order himself some football boots and shin guards along with a football boots bag.
He just hoped he could get to the package before his dads found it when arrives but he knew he will have to punish himself a lot for this as he knew it was so wrong to steal, but he just had to he just wanted to have a bit of fun. It never occurred to him that his dads would be happy to buy these things for him. It never even occurred to him his dad would get an email confirming the orders on its way. But luckily for Harry, his dads rarely checked emails unless work ones or something was flagged up to them.
Harry went and had a freezing cold shower and looked at the bed sheets he had washed that morning from where he had wet the bed. He then grabs his wet clothes out his school bag and washed them in the bath he had had an accident just after lunch he blames the water he had had after football tryouts. Luckily, it was just a little and nothing had come through on to his school trousers or the chair. He then decided he can't drink during football practice or a game as wetting himself be the end of it. But he didn't realise that if he did that it would not be good but he would learn as time went on.
He hung his clothes over the shower rail and prayed they dried for tomorrow he then got on with his homework. He heard his brothers and dads come home and could smell take out but no one called him down. He didn't mind, this was punishment either for last week or maybe somehow they knew he had stolen. But it wasn't that his dads now knew he had a key and as he was home a lot earlier they thought he would have grabbed something on the way home or at home.
Harry just decides to climb into bed as he's cold as he never puts the heating on his room to save money for the family plus he didn't deserve to be warm as he was a bad boy. He didn't have any friends and never made his family proud. He was hungry and his stomach was hurting where Seb had punched it and a bruise was forming. He was feeling sick as he hadn't eaten since breakfast, mainly because Seb had taken his lunch money and he had football tryouts. Then he was being punished for being a thief. He then realised he didn't know when his next meal was going to be as he doubted he would get breakfast. He was just glad he had his emergency food for when he hadn't eaten in a while.
Harry falls into uneasy sleep. Downstairs, the rest of the family were around the breakfast bar digging into Chinese.
"Dad, Papa guess what coach told me today," said Liam
"What?"
"Harry got on to the Year 7 football team, apparently he was one of the best in the year who tried out,"
"Wow! All my boys are going to be football stars," said Louis, getting excited.
After dinner, Louis goes online to order Harry the necessities for football training. He was surprised to see that someone had already ordered football boots and shin pads in Harry's sizes and a boot bag. It made him feel sad that Harry must have done it in secret, but why?
He quickly ordered Harry a tracksuit to put on over his kit and a sports bottle and new sports bag purposely for his kit than his own football to practice with. He logs off then goes and tells Zayn what Harry had done Zayn's natural reaction was to get angry but Louis just reminded him that they just needed to talk to Harry and ask why as they hadn't been the best dads for him but they didn't know it got to stealing.
