*Gavin's POV*
As we waited for the doctor to come out, two questions occupied my thoughts.
"Why did she do it?" "Did I do something?"
I barely knew her, and yet I could already feel myself falling for her. It scared me when we saw her like that. When I heard her screaming for help.. I was so scared. I didn't want to lose someone else I cared about. I couldn't.
I just sat there, staring at the wall, until I felt Alex jump up. I looked up and saw the doctor coming toward us. I got up and stood next to Alex.
The doctor stopped in front of us, "I have some good news."
"What?!?", Alex and I said at the same time.
"Cassy is going to be ok. She didn't cut deep enough to do any long lasting damage. She's awake now if you want to go see her."
We thanked the doctor then walked to her room. Alex hesitated before opening the door, and I didn't push him. I knew how he felt. I was terrified.
When he opened the door, Cassy looked up and started crying. Alex ran over to her and held her while I just stood beside the bed. I heard Alex tell her everything would be alright, and she eventually stopped crying.
Alex sighed, "Why'd you do it?"
She looked down, "I started thinking about the day of my audition..."
"Oh, Cass... Why'd you do that?"
She shrugged, and Alex hugged her.
Thats when she noticed me.
She smiled a little, "Im sorry.."
I shook my head and took her hand, "Don't be sorry. Just don't do it again."
We talked until visiting hours were over. She was coming home tomorrow. I just hope we can get her room cleaned up in time.
