First things first they gave Simon a bath and a fresh pair of clothes, and began testing Simon's abilities. "what are you best at Simon?" the instructor asked. "i can lift a small bolder!" the instructor glanced at him funny. "what, that's not normal?" Simon asked. "no, no, completely normal," he said. "what else are you good at?" "i'm light on my feet." Simon answered. "hm," the instructor glanced at him and then to the weapon rack. "the rapier should be a fine weapon for you." Simon took up the wooden replica and they began the duel. Simon was thrown to the ground multiple times before he finally gave in. "i don't get it," said the instructor. "this should be a perfect weapon for you." Simon glanced at the weapon rack and pointed to a long thick blade. "what about this one?" Simon asked. the instructor laughed and said he could try.

the two took their places and began the duel again, to the instructor's surprise, HE was the one getting knocked down. Simon was pooped, he sat down on one of the benches and thought to himself for a while. "oh that's right, you haven't eaten yet!" the instructor guided him out the training room. Simon was bathed for the second time before they sat down to eat. "~are the higher ups always like this~?" Simon thought to himself. they gathered around the table and waited for the king, when he finally sat down the waiters set down the food and opened the fancy lids. the ones who already knew Simon expected to watch him eat like a glutton but he seems to have a small apatite, when they were done eating the waiters cleared the table.

"So Simon, i've heard a lot about you." Bartram said. "really, what of?" Simon asked. "i've heard you enjoy pestering my higher class citizens." Bartram said. "well," Simon said. "no need to apologies, you have plenty made up for it." Bartram said. "i hope you don't mind but i have already made plans to send you as a spy to Jacob's kingdom." Simon's jaw dropped. "~sending me already!?~" Simon thought, "rest up, because you leave first thing in the morning." said the first captain. "we still have time to perfect your technique if you would like to." said the instructor. Simon gladly took up the offer and soon they were off training again. during one of their breaks they hydrated themselves, and sat down to discuss tomorrow. "do you think i'm ready to do this?" Simon asked the instructor. the instructor thought for a moment. "i don't see why not," the instructor said. "even with such a savage weapon you have a good stance and can seemingly break through anything i can throw at you,  you might even be better than me!" the instructor ranted on. "really?" Simon said. the instructor nodded. after training Simon was bathed for the THIRD time and sent to a small room fitted with the best of luxuries. "rich people." Simon said to himself.

The next morning Simon was bathed AGAIN and sent to the dining hall for breakfast and a quick briefing, he was then sent to the armory where he was fitted with a REAL sword that seemed to glisten in his hands, and steel armor that he wasn't very fond of, the armor smith asked what style of armor he wanted, and Simon walked over to some leather under armor and a headband. "what about this?" Simon asked. the smith laughed. "are you serious?" Simon nodded. "i've never liked the shiny metal stuff." Simon took of the bandanna that he had refused to take off or let them take and looked at it, then he looked at the headband and put it on.

Simon caught up to the soldiers Bartram asked to set up a carriage, it was nearly empty other than a few unprocessed grains, stale bread, and almost  expired meat. Simon was put on the driver's seat and in front of him he saw two donkeys, they obviously had horses, so why were they sending such low quality goods? Simon was told to go out the west gate as to not be seen by Jacob's men, and Simon obeyed. it was a day's trip to Jacob's kingdom so Simon decided to go as fast as the donkeys could take him. soon, night fell, a cold shiver went down Simon's back so Simon dug around the carriage to find something to warm him up, he soon found a good thick blanket and used it as a make-shift cloak, it was so warm that he felt like he was going to dose off, and he did.
