As I walk along the corridor, I can feel people shoot dager-like stares at me. I'm actually used to it but sometimes it's just unbearable. Just like what happened earlier today.
My friends Cassey and Kathryn turned their backs on me. My childhood friend, Patrick, who was always been there for me did not care like how he used too. It's so deppressing to see your only friends turn their backs at you exactly when you needed them the most.
Maybe you've been wondering why they did what they did. It's because I did the right thing and Coleen McCurtney did'nt. Been wondering who's Coleen McCurtney? well, she is this campus queen, a hard court diva and she is this girl who is pretty enough to be liked by every guy in the campus. She actually has this charm that makes everyone do what she want them to do.
Unfortunately, she used that charm over my friends. Which made Cassey and Kathryn take her side rather than mine. The volcano inside of me errupted when my friends happily chose Coleen. They were giggling and smiling and shooting daggers at me as I pass them. How can they throw our friendship that easily and have fun with that witch?
Not all the kids at school hated me. Actually there were still kids who were kind enough to take my side. Shara Styles, the british senior student who is the captain of the volleyball club eats with me at lunch. She's kind and is totally a true friend. We're both seniors but we go to different classes. Which means, we dont have the same schedules.
My story isn't really Cinderella like. I sighed as i put my books at the upper shelf of my locker. I'm not eavesdropping but I overheard two girls sharing things beside my locker. Of course its an interesting story because its about, who else. ME.
"Do you know Lei? The senior student who bumped into Coleen yesterday?" said the blonde. "Yeah. I totally know her. She really has the guts to say those words at Coleen." the black bobbed haired girl answered.
Oh, it's probably the scene that happened infront of the gym. When I helped a 9th grader who bumped into Coleen that afternoon. I cant forget the twitch on Coleen's eyebrow that day. It's totally a horiffying scene. "No one dares to help the person who bumped into me." she hissed. Ugh. Why flashbacks? My mind shouted.
All I can do was help the kid by picking up his books by my wobbly hands. I tapped the kids shoulder and said, "Careful next time, okay? There we're people in this school who thought they bought the corridor but actually..." i glanced at coleen to try and piss her off but she just scoffed. "they didnt." I continued. I turned to my heels and stormed out from the commotion.
What can I say? I'm a dare devil.
