Absence

I stand under a veil of twilight
A spilled ink of pink on deepest blue
Cloaked in mystic wonder and view
That night is the absence of sun

Gravity keeps us all in bed
As planets move their phase
As the moon shines by the sun's light
To lit the darkest nights bright

The dawn starts breaking east
A cue for humans to eat and live
The earth is 24 hours til repeat
There it goes one after another spin

But think a million years from now
Some miles wherever you are
With a big bang! Or big crunch
In vain these things mundane
In three, two, one... gone.
