Some people have memories in first person and some have them in third. Most of mine are the latter, including the ones from my past life. This makes them even more haunting and distressing than they already are.
Every time I close my eyes, I relive those final moments.
I see a man walking into the living room, a woman backing away in fright. He charges at her, hitting her, choking her—killing her.
Just as she is about to lose consciousness, a teen enters the room. She shakily aims a gun and fires, killing me and saving her mother.
