Chapter 3 // Oops

"Vic?"

"Kellin?"

I stood there. Dumbfounded. I didn't know what to say. Kellin stared at me with those big beautiful eyes. I was beyond shocked. Really? Why did it have to be Cute Boy? Wait what the hell am I thinking. Snap out of it Vic! Now is not the time. Luckily I didn't have to stay silent and awkward for long. Thankfully Kellin's father spoke up.

"You two know each other?" Kellin's dad asked.

"Uh...Kind of?" Kellin replied as more of a question than a statement.

I looked between the three people standing in front of me. What exactly do I say anyway? 'Oh hey I'm just casually gonna work here and take care of a gorgeous teenage boy while my plans for revenge are still strong as ever. Not to mention I still want to ruin each and every one of your lives.'

I shook my head of all thoughts. I would never reveal my true intentions. Not until it's time for me to strike, which hopefully wouldn't take too long.

"Okay so we've seen each other only once before. I was casually buying lunch before going to Veronica's and he so happened to be in the same restaurant. It's no biggy honestly." Kellin explained to his parents.

"Oh well that was a coincidence." Mr. Quinn replied. I was just standing awkwardly, as if waiting to be spoken to. My inner shy and awkward self was showing it's true colors.

"Yeah...So uh Vic, what are you doing here?" Kellin asked me.

"I, um, I w-work here." I replied with a stutter. What the hell. I didn't know what it was but it almost felt as if he made me feel nervous - almost! It was pathetic.

"You do? Since when?"

"Uh, I just got the job actually.. you know to be your...uh.."

"Personal body guard!" Kellin's mom finished for me because apparently I couldn't do that on my own.

"What?!" Kellin yelled back in shock, his jaw slacking open after he knew he'd heard correctly.

"Yes Kellin," Mrs. Quinn replied in a much calmer tone. "I got you your own personal body guard. Whenever you're out partying with your friends or whatever you're always getting into trouble somehow and I can't risk going down to the police station every time. To refrain from going down to pay for your release, I thought it'd be best to get someone to personally to take care of you and watch your every move."

"But mom that's not fair! I'm not a little kid anymore. I can take care of myself. I'm 17 for god's sake I can fend for myself. You don-"

"Yes, yes Kellin I understand. You're a big boy now and I accept that. But you know that you're a little, how do I say this, out of control sometimes and I just can't risk being seen going to the police station in search for you and always worrying about what you did that time around. You have to understand Kellin you need to think about your father and I's reputation. This won't do any good and you know it. What will people think of us? Oh Mr. and Mrs. Quinn and their delinquent son. We can't keep doing this."

"No mom no. You don't understand. And don't call me a big boy I'm not fucking five years old anymore. And really? I'm out of control? Says the one who got me a random guy to watch me at all times. Seriously have you lost your mind? And your little reputation? It almost seems as if you care more about what others think of you than your own son, mother! Besides, aren't you rich shouldn't you not have a problem with paying someone to go get me? You don't have to do this."

"Kellin! Watch your tone with her she is your mother and you are to respect her. You know very well that I do not tolerate you talking back to either of us. Apologize to your mother." Mr. Quinn interfered.
