Lucifer shifted slightly on his stool, a movement that earned him a scowl from Trixie as she lost her concentration. But quickly getting it back as her tongue poked out of the corner of her mouth and she brushed the brush slightly roughly against his skin, but he didn't complain. Chloe had been watching on the side, smirking every now and then when Trixie showed her mother her process, clearly proud of her work. Lucifer had no clue what he looked like, all he knew was that Trixie was harsh with a paint brush and the fact that there was going to be a lot of red on his face which he guessed was actually pretty accurate. Trixie hopped off of the stool that she'd been sat on before Lucifer and he gathered she was finished so he went to get up too but she was quick to push his shoulders back down.

"Wait." Was all she said before skipping off to her bedroom, Lucifer looked up at Chloe wondering what Trixie was getting but Chloe simply shrugged, just as confused. But a few moments later the brunette returned with her hands behind her back and a mischievous smile on her face. Both Lucifer and Chloe raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Close your eyes."

Lucifer narrowed his eyes for a moment before finally closing his eyes, sensing the child had moved before him, waving her hand to check if he could see. His senses were stronger than a humans so he didn't exactly need to open his eyes to see, because he can sense every movement she made which meant placing some kind of hat on his head.

"OK, you can open your eyes now." The child declared as she stepped back, waiting eagerly for him to see the reveal. Lucifer peeled open his eyes, eyes landing straight on the child stood excitedly holding her hands together just before her mother who seemed to be struggling to keep herself from laughing.

Lucifer rose to his feet, heading for the mirror he knew was on the wall around the corner and he almost choked at the sight of him. Bright red, dark raccoon looking style around his eyes, strange lips and his eyes flickered up to the thing Trixie had placed on his head and he frowned...sparkling red devil horns...

"What do you think?" Trixie asked as she stood close beside him, wanting to know his opinion. Lucifer bit his tongue, wanting to tell her that this was not accurate at all apart from the colour but the big brown orbs looking at him with such hope for approval beat him. He shifted the horns on his head so that they wouldn't fall and his eyes glancing to Chloe's the woman watching the pair, a hand over her mouth where she was clearly hiding the smile.

"I think you could be a professional face painter if you pleased, I love it, Beatrice." He told her, his voice keeping level, making sure it didn't sound like he was lying. He wanted to make the child smile. "Would you like me to paint your face next?"

Trixie couldn't be happier at his words, nodding quickly and snatching up his hand to pull him back to the stools in the living room, sitting down on the one Lucifer had previously sat upon.

"Can you paint a butterfly? My friend Jasmine had a purple one before, can I have blue?" Trixie asked, her hands holding the chair so she didn't move so much that Lucifer could go wrong. Lucifer simply nodded.

"I think I can do that." He knew he shouldn't make it very detailed seem as Trixie probably wouldn't care if it was just a basic looking butterfly but he did nevertheless.

After almost an hour of gentle brush strokes, changing of light to dark blues, doing subtle details in white paint, doing the careful black outline. Lucifer had finally finished and Trixie seemed glad, she'd practically fallen asleep several times the room having been so quiet seem as Chloe had gone to sit down, her feet after standing for so long. But when she heard Lucifer tell her daughter he was finished, Chloe rose from the sofa, almost having fallen asleep herself. When she saw Trixie she couldn't help but let out an almost silent gasp.
