Today's Sugawara nerve wrecking (grocery shopping) date with (Y/n), the gray haired teen stood in front of the (L/n) residence. As he waited for his childhood friend to come out, its been passed 15 minutes at their original meeting time and Sugawara wasn't exactly suprise either that she's running late despite their rendezvous is litterally in front of her house.

"S-sorry Kou, my mum held me up!" (Y/n) rubs her left arm, shyly looking away "she heard that we're going out and she went crazy and dolled me up"

"...cute." Sugawara whispers to himself, hoping that the girl wouldn't hear it.

"W-what?" (Y/n) asks, she faintly heard his words and her face starts to flush hearing a complement from Sugawara.

"I said you look c-cute today!" Now Sugawara's face starts to get flushed, two of them were a blushing mess.

Sugawara silently thank (Y/n)'s mom for dressing the female teen, as she knew that the girl would probably wore something with a hoodie and sweatpants.

"Let's go?" Sugawara asks as they went travel for their date "did you eat already? If not, maybe we should go eat first!"

"Yeah, let's go eat!" (Y/n) agrees at Sugawara's suggestion "I'm starving"

The two started to ride the train station, the two started to talk the most random topics from homework to sewing machines. Somewhere along the line, maybe it's their subconscious, when the two of them started to hold hands. Many would assume that they are a cute couple from a stranger's perspective, but in reality, they're not.

They went for their favourite but cheap ramen place, and ordered two Shoyu Ramen, and a fried dumpling on the side. Sugawara wanted to pay for the two of them when (y/n) objected at that proposition, believing that it's not fair for Sugawara.

The male teen only sighed at the (h/c) haired  teen stubbornness, and gave up, knowing that she won't go down without a fight.

"I can't believe you Kou!" (Y/n) crossed her arms, pouting at her childhood friend "I told you that we're going to half it!"

"Ahaha, sorry!" Sugawara scratches his nape, apologizing at her.

It seemed that when (Y/n) gave the bill, thinking that she paid already, she went to the washroom. However, Sugawara sneakily took her money and put it back on her purse and paid the whole thing. At first everything seems to be normal, but (y/n) noticed the money she brought was still in complete amount and confronted Sugawara.

"Don't 'ahaha!' Me!" (Y/n) pouts, but her arms wasn't crossed anymore but she was holding his hand "you shouldn't act too nice to me..."

"Eh, Why?" Sugawara tilts half of his body, making him facing face.

"B-because, I might misunderstand something" (y/n) blushes at Sugawara's sudden closeness.

"Eh?" Sugawara still doesn't understand what the girl was trying to say.

"Geez, your so slow at reading a girl's heart!" (Y/n) bursts out and started walking away (while dragging Sugawar) and changing the topic "it's getting late, let's go do your grocery shopping!"

"Yes ma'am!"
