Chapter three >>

The weekend flew by and soon it was Monday again. I signed up for Saturday at 11, I still had no idea what I was going to sing though.

"So what are you doing tonight?" Tyler said as he took a bite of his apple, we sat in the loud crowded cafeteria.

I put my legs up on the chair across from me.

"Nothing Tyler,"It was just a normal night my mom was away in business this whole week, so I was alone.

"I'm probably going to go home and watch American Horror story all alone. You?"He shrugged.

"Mind if I come over?" I nod.

"I'm alone anyway," I hate when my mom just leaves and I'm alone.

"You can help me chose my song for Saturday?" Tyler fixed his beanie and nodded as we sat in silence. Tyler lost his parents at a young age and he lived with his aunt a few streets from me, of course we never knew that until we became friends in year nine.

"Five minutes to class I'll see you later going to the toilet." I smiled and got up. I walked back towards Tyler's locker and then I went to the girls toilets.

I fixed my hair then popped in a headphone.

I heard two pairs of heels walk into the bathroom and hid in the stall.

"Oh Ashlee you think I could win that contest?"

"Totally Ginny your amazing."

"Thanks babe." Oh no she's trying out if she doesn't win daddy will pay them to make her win.

The bell finally rang and I came out just as she left. I would never get a chance.

Saturday finally came along and I was so nervous. I woke up and practiced my song, I did my hair in a messy bun and put on some pants cover the scars that ran up my legs from years of cutting. I put on a singlet with nirvana across the front and slipped on my combat boots and tied them up. I was ready to go I took a deep breath as grabbed my guitar.

I heard a knock on the door and opened it to see Tyler.

"Hey Ty." I said.

"I'll drive." He smirked and I followed him out to his car. I could do this, I silently said to myself all the way there.
