Chapter 7

_____Chloe's POV_____

"So what flavour are you getting?" Luke asked as we neared the ice cream shop.

"Ummm....I don't know. I'll have to see all the flavours first. What are you getting?" I explained.

"Probably all." He laughed. Was he being serious?

"Sounds like a decision you'd make." I giggled.

"How'd you know?" He asked. He looked at me as we walked side by side.

"I don't know. It seems like a Luke decision." I laughed and poked him in the side. He laughed. His laugh was cute.

"You're a pretty cool person." He smiled. What is that suppose to mean?!

"Thanks." I awkwardly smiled back. That sounds like something my grandmother would say.

We got our ice creams and walked away. "Want to sit at that park over there?" Luke asked pointing towards a near by park. I looked around and inspected the place.

"Sure." I said in a cheery tone. We went to the park and sat on a bench then began eating our ice cream and talking.

"So....." Luke said trying to start a conversation.

"Is your ice cream good?" I asked him, watching as he ate his ice cream quicker than I've ever seen anyone eat before.

"Yeah. What about yours?" He questioned, nodding his head towards my ice cream come.

"It's great." I said, licking my ice cream. A giggle escaped my lips.

"What flavour did you get?" He asked, looking at my ice cream.

"Chocolate and vanilla." I smiled. I thought it was obvious, but apparently not.

"I got cookies and cream, and some rainbow colour cause it looked cool." He stated, finishing off his cone. He has a little on his nose, but I didn't want to say anything. It looked cute.

"Mine is so tasty." I laughed.

"Well mine was." He said looking down at his empty hands. I laughed.

"So.... You and Ashton have been friends a really long time, huh?" He asked.

"Yeah. He moved here when we were in primary school. When they first moved in my mum and I walked over there to welcome them. I saw Ashton and saw that he had cool toys and that was the start of our friendship." I stated.

"Really?" He questioned in shock. He then realized he had ice cream on his nose and wiped it off with the back of his hand, blushing in the process.

"Yep. We found out that we had a lot in common. We have seen each other pretty much everyday since then." I said remembering the day I met Ashton.

--------------FLASHBACK--------------

I was playing in my room when I heard my name being called. "Chloe! Come here please...... CHLOE!!!!!" My mummy yelled. "Coming." I said laying down my dollies. I ran down the hallway and into the kitchen where my mummy was.

"Yes?" I asked. "There is a new family moving in next door. In about 20 minutes we are going to walk over there and welcome them to the neighborhood, okay?" She explained. "Okay." I said then skipped back to my room.

I began to play with my dollies again, but I got bored. Maybe mummy is ready to go to the new neighbors. Hopefully they have a daughter that is my age. I need a new best friend. Ashley took my lolly from my lunch yesterday so she isn't my friend anymore.

I went back into the kitchen. "Mummy, can we go meet the new neighbors now?" I asked looking up at my mummy. "Yes, sweetie, go get your brothers." She said. I went to my brothers' room. "Kayden, Jayden, mummy and I are going to meet our new neighbors. Do you wanna come?" I asked.
