Chapter three

"I still don't think this is a good idea," Katie saids while looking around the cafeteria.
"Well I for one think it's in an excellent idea," Alice saids with an evil glint in her eyes. I just told the girls my plan on putting Dustin in his place.

"But he's the future alpha we can't just go up and tell him he's a spoiled brat" April yells. I quickly hushes her.
"Do you want everyone to hear" I whisper yell at her.
"Sorry" she mutter "but you got to admit this isn't going to be easy" she whispers to me.

"I know that but it's about time someone did something," I say. Honestly, I've been here for a little over two days and I can barely stand his attitude. He walks around school like he's some type of god.

" I agree," Alice says with excitement dancing across her eyes. "It's about time Dustin learns that not everyone is gonna bow down to him because of his rank" I nod my agreement while April and Katie look at each other wide-eyed.

"You two are crazy" Katie yells. I roll my eyes while Alice hushes her. "Even if you challenge him in a fight that doesn't mean you'll win," April saids with a worrisome look in her eyes.
"I was the best of my old pack I'm sure I'll do fine," I say with confidence.

"But he could kill you," April saids with a worried look on her face.  Alice rolls her eyes.
"He won't kill her," Alice saids.
"How can you be so sure?" April ask.
"Because I'll be there" Alice states earning a surprised look from Katie and April. I look at the three in confusion why would it be a shock for the future beta to go to training with the future alpha.

"What am I missing?" I ask. Alice glares at the girls before answering " I just haven't been to pack training in a while I prefer to train in private" she saids as if it wasn't a big deal but I know there's more to this story by April's and Katie's reaction. But I didn't push the subject any further. I quickly gaze over the cafeteria not looking for anything or anyone specific. My eyes land on a table a few tables down from us where all the popular kids sit. My eyes instantly fall on the guy next to Dustin. He was the exact opposite of Dustin with his blond hair and light hazel eyes unlike Dustin dark black hair and his dark blue eyes.

"Are you staring at Dustin!" Alice exclaimes quietly not wanting to gain Dustin's attention.

"No, I was staring at the guy next to him" I admit  while feeling a blush rushing across my face.
"Who is he?" I ask with curiosity in my eyes.
"Oh that's just Blake he's Dustin's best friend but he's human" April answers my question.
"Like what you see?" Katie teases me.

"He's human! She can't be with him what about her mate?" April saids while Katie rolling her eyes at her.
"That doesn't mean she can't be friends with him" Katie counters. I've learned that April is more logical one of the group while Katie is more optimistic than the others. Though Alice seems to be more of the leader of them which isn't surprising considering her rank.
"Maybe we should let Charlotte decide what she does" Alice intervenes before Katie and April started bickering.
"Yeah who says I want a relationship with my mate or anyone else," I say. April and Katie look shocked at what I said while Alice looked indifferent about it.

"How can you say that!"Katie yells, "your mate is waiting for you and you don't want him!"
"Who said he's even waiting most guys that I know don't"  I counters "so why should I spend all my time dreaming of the perfect mate when he doesn't exist."
"I gotta go or I'll be late for class," I saids getting up to leave. As I walk to leave I run into what feels likes a brick wall I look up to find dark blue eyes looking down at me with aggravation.
"Watch where you're going mutt," Dustin saids with aggravation. I step away from him needing my personal space back.
"Excuse me oh great alpha how dare I a mere she-wolf even stand in your presence" I scoff sarcastically.
"Watch your tone with me," he saids viciously.
"Oh, but how will I watch where I go and my tone. My little brain can only handle so much" I pout. 
"Yes I know that's something very hard for a loser like you to do," he says with a smirk on his face.
