Issa double update. Wow! 😂 lol (Just realized that I keep writing stories abt them all meeting up or going to rehearsals...welp)
"What time? Okay......yeah we'll be there. Okay. Bye." Mitch looked up at Kirstie when she put her phone away.
"What was that?" he asked. "We're going to a restaurant at 7:00 today because Esther wants to talk about some things. Apparently, Darien and Alex will be there too." Mitch made an 'o' shape with his mouth and nodded in understanding.
"Better get ready now so we'll be there in time." he shrugged and Kirstie agreed. They went up to their shared room and got ready.
Mitch wore a black button up with black jeans and his regular converse. Kirstie was dressed in a black and white patterned dress that draped over her knees. Instead of wearing her heals, she wore black flats to match her dress.
They both made their way to Kirstie's car and went to their destination.
When the duo arrived, they found Kevin and Esther's car parked next to each other. Luckily, there were three other spots next to the cars so Mitch didn't have to drive that far to find parking spaces.
He parked next to Kevin's car and got out of the car. He immediately jogged over to Kirstie's side and opened the door for her. She thanked him and they both made their way to the restaurant, holding hands.
Arriving at the restaurant, Avi, Kevin, Esther, and Darien were all waiting inside. They stood by the entrance and were in their own conversation.
Avi looked up when he heard the bell chime as the main doors opened. He smiled brightly at Mitch and Kirstie and welcomed them.
"Hey guys." he greeted and hugged them.
Soon, the others joined in on the hug and parted. "Who's missing?" Mitch asked. "We just have to wait for Scott and Al- Oh never mind." Esther chuckled and the others did as well when they looked outside and saw Scott and Alex walking to the doors.
Scott had tripped and almost fell if it weren't for Alex holding his hand and keeping him balanced. He sheepishly smiled and blushed once he realized that they were staring.
Once Scott and Alex had walked in, they were finally seated at a large table fit for everyone.
As the time passed, conversations started and ended, food and drinks were served, and everyone was smiling.
Suddenly, Esther grabbed a fork and picked up her wine glass and started to tap at it with the spoon.
"Can I have everyone's attention for a bit?" Everyone at the table quieted down and looked at Esther.
"We all came here tonight because I have important news. First things first, I received news that Pentatonix was nominated for a fourth Grammy." Esther said, whispering towards the end of her sentence.
The others were quiet and stunned for a second before they all suddenly cheered and hugged their partners.
Esther was smiling brightly at them and almost didn't want to pause their celebration but she still had more to say.
"Wait wait wait, one more thing." Once again everything was quiet and Esther was surprised. She picked up Darien's hand and smiled at him. She lifted up her left hand to show the others the bright diamond ring that rested on her ring finger. "I'm engaged." She practically squealed.
Everyone gasped and cheered once again but louder this time.
Avi was crying tears of joy, Kevin was stunned but held a smile either way, the trio were going crazy, laughing and crying or cheering, and everyone else was either smiling brightly or too stunned to move.
They finally quieted down once they got a couple of noise complaints from neighboring tables. They couldn't help but chuckle when they got their first complaint.
"Wow... I can't believe that this is actually happening." Scott whispered. After the celebration, they all were quietly sitting, letting reality sink in.
Kirstie was the first one to let out a happy sob with the others joining a few seconds later. Mitch had put an arm around her to try to contain her sob but it didn't really help since he was sobbing too.
A couple hours later, the group was ready to leave. It was 11:00 and they were tired and were the only ones at the restaurant. Scott even laughed anytime a waiter or waitress walked by because they were so annoyed by the group and wanted them to leave so they could also go home.
They all payed and left the restaurant, going to their separate cars. Avi and Kevin, Esther and Darien, Scott and Alex, and Mitch and Kirstie.
Coincidently, all of their cars were lined up by each other so it was easy for them to get in and go.
Esther and Kevin's cars were first to leave, followed by Kirstie's then Scott's. Mitch and Scott were stopped at a red light while the other two cars were already down the block and turning the corner.
"Tonight was great, we should really go out with them again." Scott nodded in agreement to Alex. "Did u see the look that the waiters gave us? It was hilarious-" Scott stopped talking when Alex motioned for him to go forward.
The light was now green and Scott followed Kirstie's car. He was about to talk again when he saw a car speeding by the intersection.
Time seemed to freeze when the car didn't stop. The light blue Toyota was out of control and just sped up quicker than before. The driver ran the red light and hit the car in front of them.
"NO!" Scott and Alex both yelled when they heard the tires of both cars screeching.
Scott quickly parked his car and jumped out. Alex was already on his phone and calling 911. He didn't want to get out of the car now that he saw his friend's car flip over twice and land on it's side.
The horn and alarm was going off on both cars that were part of the crash. Alex was sobbing while he watched his boyfriend run up to Kirstie's car and struggle to open the door. He wasn't strong enough to flip the car back so he tried to just open the sunroof.
Alex finally got out of the car. Instead of running to Scott, he ran to the other car and demanded answers from the driver that passed the red light.
Police sirens were closer and four cars plus two ambulances showed up.
Alex abandoned the man on the ground and ran to Scott. He tried pushing Scott away from the car because the police were already there to help.
"No! Alex please! I have to help them! No!" Scott was sobbing and thrashing around in Alex's arms.
They both fell to their knees and cried into each other's shoulders.
The rest was a blur when they saw two bloodied bodies being dragged out of the flipped car.
—Time Skip—
Scott and Alex were seated in separate chairs in the waiting room.
They were just quietly sitting down and staring at the ground, occasionally sniffling or releasing a tear. Their hands were clasped together as they waited for a doctor to come out.
"Oh my god!" Alex suddenly shouted and stood. Scott had jumped in his seat from the sudden noise.
"We never told the others! I have to call them." Scott was about to say something but Alex had already ran outside to call the others. Scott sighed and slumped down in his seat. He can't believe how quick disaster struck.
