I close my eyes and I am there
Standing in the meadow
Beams of joy shoot out of my every orifice
Leading me to you
Elated
My feet rise from the ground and I float forward
Long blades of straw courage
Brush against my legs
And a combination of
Desperation and yearning
Perfume the air
Releasing the butterflies into my stomach
I close my eyes and I can see you
Racing towards me
Your flowing locks of hair catch in the wind
And form wings behind you
So that you can be propelled towards me
I open my eyes and I know I am close to you
I spin in circles searching for you
I turn until the meadow becomes a blur
Until I can see nothing but my need to find you
To reach you
To touch you
Suddenly I stop spinning
My eyes lock with those of another
A being on the far side of the field
But as soon as they are staring
I know
I found you
My feet become jets and I fly for you
Racing at the speed of light till I reach you
I leap
We collide
Our bodies become one
A knot of passion
My fingers lace through your sunshine strands
Your tongue carves vows into my lips
To which my mouth says I do.
I have found you
We are together
Me and you
You and I.
