I close my eyes and I am there
Standing in the meadow
Beams of joy shoot out of my every orifice
Leading me to you
Elated
My feet rise from the ground and I float forward
Long blades of straw courage
Brush against my legs
And a combination of
Desperation and yearning
Perfume the air
Releasing the butterflies into my stomachI close my eyes and I can see you
Racing towards me
Your flowing locks of hair catch in the wind
And form wings behind you
So that you can be propelled towards meI open my eyes and I know I am close to you
I spin in circles searching for you
I turn until the meadow becomes a blur
Until I can see nothing but my need to find you
To reach you
To touch youSuddenly I stop spinning
My eyes lock with those of another
A being on the far side of the field
But as soon as they are staring
I know
I found youMy feet become jets and I fly for you
Racing at the speed of light till I reach youI leap
We collide
Our bodies become one
A knot of passion
My fingers lace through your sunshine strands
Your tongue carves vows into my lips
To which my mouth says I do.I have found you
We are together
Me and you
You and I.
