Halfway There!

Moon's paws hit cold, hard stone, as she raced across a huge stone, in the middle of the pine forests. Dawn was besides her, running with his fur streaking out besides her. His brown and grey fur was slick. Millions of pine needles were strewn against the earthy, muddy forest floor. Moon felt droplets of rain fall onto her spine, and she shuddered in their cold. The rest of the group pounded against the needly floor, and her paws were now covered in mud. Rain Fur and Eclipse ran together, with Leopard's Meow right in front of the two cats. Rain Fur's dark grey and white fur was streaked with mud. On the other side of Eclipse was Slate Fur. Moon saw her father, Midnight, coping up pretty well with the others. Then, she felt cold, slippery claws dig into her back. She turned around, and saw a cat slash her eyes with one paw.

Moon woke up immediately. The beginning of her dream had been real... but she didn't remember the part of the dark cat. Shaking out her fur, she walked out to the clearing. Eclipse was training Morning Paw in a sunny part of the pine forest. Mud Flower was treating to Dawn, with Mouse helping. Moon's Shadow was pacing the clearing, with Cloud Feather sitting down in front of the young, grey, she-cat. Moon's Shadow was a light grey and medium grey she-cat, with dark grey spots surrounding her pelt. Her eyes were crystal blue. Morning Paw, the black and brown trainee, was battling Eclipse. Moon watched as Rain Fur purred Good Luck to Eclipse, before sitting back to watch.

"Moon!" Moon turned around to see Tawny padding towards her. "We need you to take a patrol out to see how much longer we will have to travel. We have been traveling for a moon now, and cats are getting restless! Wild Blossom needs to relax more, and Lion's Roar's kits need somewhere to call their permanent home." 

Tawny took a quick glance towards the 6 kits rolling in the pine needles. Lion's Roar's litter, Jagged Call, the black tom with blue eyes,Flowering Peak, the grey she cat with black spots and blue eyes, Flaming Fire, the flame colored she-cat, with green eyes, and Sun Shade, the grey tom, with orange paws and green eyes were tumbling in a tight, squeezed ball, with two kits that the group had found on the way to their makeshift camp, a tiny, blue-grey tom with blue eyes named River, and a muscular black tom, with one white paw, and hazel eyes named Tiny Paws. Moon nodded, and mewed,

"Sure, I will." Stretching, she got to her paws, and bounded over to Moon's Shadow, the black she-cat, with light grey under makings, and dark grey spots. The she-cat looked at her with her blue-green eyes, and smiled. After a brief conversation, the two cats gathered up Shallow Wing, a blue-gray she cat with golden underbelly and white tabby stripes, and Lion's Roar. Then, the patrol head out, and left the makeshift camp.
