Chapter 3 – Why do bells have to ring?!?!!?
I woke up on the right side of the bed today obviously having the good mood. I don’t know but I have this eagerness to go to school which is weird since lately I’ve been sick of all the homeworks bestowed upon us whatsoever. ‘Does it have anything to do with that cute guy you saw yesterday?’ my conscience teased. ‘I don’t even know his name’ -- I think I should really stop conversing with my thoughts. It’s not healthy anymore… Okay whatever; I haven’t had much sleep last night working on this report that was due today. WAIT. Due today? That meant I had to report in front of the class which also meant having to report in front of that super cute strange guy from the other section!!!!!!!!! Oh boy, I’m in deep trouble. I mean, I’ve done hundreds of reports and I totally survived those with flying colors. Ew, did I just use that weird idiom? But this is different! How can I do this report in front of him? I’ll make a total fool out of myself, oh my god! This day couldn’t get any better. Note the sarcasm again. My report is during the period after Lunch so I still have enough time to think about excuses. I just hope our Math teacher would cut me some slack; I’m a good student after all!
More Later
I may have exaggerated the part where I thought she would cut me some slack until she proved me wrong. “No, I need your report later Ms. Rodriguez.” She told me in a cold tone. “But, I’m not ready to report yet, I’m sure there are other students whose reports are scheduled today as well.” I can feel my hands shaking. Hey, maybe this ‘fingers crossed’ magic might work on me today. Oh well, I hope. “My decision is final. If you don’t report today then don’t expect your grades to come up because I won’t give you another chance.” I would like to send my karma greetings to whoever invented ‘crossing fingers is a magic.’ I nodded my head and went back to class but then right as I entered the room, he (I still describe him in a second person’s point of view because I was too shy to ask anybody about his name) came out looking all smiley and happy and *sigh* I didn’t notice him go away so I was left there looking as red as ever. ‘Daydreaming huh’- this dude inside my head should really stop talking to me. ‘Shut up!’During Lunch, I couldn’t help but get really nervous for my report. I guess I could just do this like how I normally report in class except that my biggest distraction is right in front of me. Yeah like that would work. Okay, I need to just act normally and deliver my report as nicely as I could. The thing is, I need this extra credit for my Math. My grades aren’t slipping but I still have to reach my target GPA which is 96%. And this subject would surely lift my other grades up, so whatever foolishness might happen during my report I’d have to take the risk. Even if that means embarrassing myself in front of my crush. Wait, he’s my crush? No, no, no, no erase that. He’s not my crush. He’s just some cute handsome guy who has a smile worth drooling for, a pair of eyes worth gazing at and an attitude worth blushing for. See, he’s not my crush. Anyway, I’ve got five more minutes before Lunch gets over so I might as well check my Wattpad; I wonder what my best friend had been up to nowadays, I don’t see her much now except during classes but then she doesn’t talk much either. Other than borrowing a pencil, she hadn’t talked and that was strange because she’s a blabbermouth. Something’s up and I’ll deal with that when my report is over. I heard the door open and froze when I saw him enter the class. Wow, I can’t believe he gives me the same effect even though I’ve seen him four times since the day we met. Actually that makes it one thousand and four if you count the times I’ve seen him in my thoughts. He strode towards my direction and I felt like there was a volcano erupting in my stomach. He’s gonna talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “Dylan! Hey, what’s up? We were thinking of spending the night over at a friend’s house. You wanna come?” What? My name’s not Dylan! What overnight? What spending? I turned around to look who he was talking about and there I saw Dylan Smith. I’ve known Dylan since junior year; he was smart and a good friend too. A frown crept to my face when I realized I wasn’t the one he was talking to. “Nah, maybe next time bro”, Dylan told him and apologized reasoning out that he had somewhere important to go. He nodded and suddenly looked at me. Whoa! I didn’t see that coming. He must have probably noticed me staring at him. He nodded his head at me and smiled. HE SMILED AT ME! I think 911 would need to come here before I pass out lavas from my mouth. “H-h-hi” *KRIIIINGGGGGGGG* What the hell is this bell doing? Finally I had the courage to say hi and this bell goes ruining the moment!!!!!!! Ugh, I guess he didn’t hear what I said since he went back to his seat… or maybe he was just really shy. Curse you, school bells!
