"Ana, I'll be gone for a few days."
I sighed, Bucky has been on so many missions lately, "But you just got back from the last      mission. It's impossible to spend time with you when you're all the way across the country."
Bucky walked over, pulling me closer to him with his metal arm, "Babe, it's my last mission, so I could spend time with you."
"I'm still mad at you," I smiled, pulling him into a kiss. He smiled against my lips.
"You know I fight for you and you only. I love you," and with that he was gone.

The days went by, which turned into weeks. Weeks turned into a month. He said it was only a few days. I was now stood in the main bridge of a S.H.E.I.L.D helicarrier.
"Calvin." I turned around to see Fury walking towards me.
"Yes sir." I said, his gaze never faltering.
    "Barnes has been captured."
My stoic face weakened, "Sir, I'll head out to a quinjet soon."
"No. You will not get involved."
I began to walk away, the rest of the Avengers watched, "I wasn't asking."
I walked to my quarters at the tower, stuffing some supplies into a duffle-bag. I threw my brunette hair into a messy bun and put on my suit. My suit was very similar to Cap's except for the fact that I am not shaped like a Dorito.
"Ana, you can't go." I heard Tony say behind me
"Watch me." I placed my shield on my back and headed to a quinjet. I put my hand on the scanner.
    "Name."
    "Captain Snow."
    "Access denied."
    "Captain. Snow."
    "Access denied."
"Fuck you Stark." I mumbled, remembering my stupid nickname.
    I sighed, "Lady Liberty."
    "Welcome, Lady Liberty."
I sat back down, throwing my bag across the floor. I can't believe he's been captured. Who              knows what they would do to him. Images flashed in my mind, Bucky screaming for help, his face bloody and bruised.
    "Bucky," I whispered.
"Ana, think about this." I jumped when Steve placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Steve, I," my voice stopped in it's tracks, "I have to go after him. If I lost him, I couldn't live with myself knowing I didn't try."
Steve looked down at me, "Fine, I won't stop you. Just like how you can't stop me from coming with you."
I looked up at him for a moment, my eyes meeting his, "Please don't, I can do it on my own."
"See, the thing is, you don't have to."

Our sources lead us to an abandoned warehouse in the middle of the mountains. Why is it always warehouses? I motioned for Steve to follow me.
"Steve, give me a boost." I whispered, Steve readied his shield. I ran toward him and jumped on his shield. He lifted hard enough to send me flying up to the balcony. I saw an agent mid-jump and hit him with my shield. I sent a rope down for Steve to climb. I looked through the door, my breath hitched. There he was, strapped to a chair, my premonitions coming true.
    "Bucky," I whispered.
Steve put a hand on my shoulder, "We are going to get him back."
I nodded, walking through the door, crouching to stay hidden. Subduing some guys along the way, I made eye contact with him. His eyes widened, I put my finger up to my lips to try to calm him. I took out my shield, Steve followed. I searched for openings, noticing an opening to get Bucky out.
"Steve, cover me." He nodded, we quietly mad out way over to him. He started shaking his head trying to get us away from him.
"How lovely for you to join us, Captain Snow and Captain America. I never thought I'd catch both of you. But with both of you here, I will become stronger." A man said enthusiastically over a speaker.
"What do you want! He's innocent!" I yelled, guarding Bucky.
He laughed over the speaker, "I don't want him, I want you and your powers."
Steve looked at me, eyes wide, "She wont give you her power. Neither will I."
"Oh I wasn't asking." a tall man emerged from a doorway at the end of the room.
Then everything went black. I woke up in a familiar machine, something similar to the machine that gave me my powers. Steve and Bucky were strapped to chairs, watching in horror.
"You psycho! She'll die if you strip her powers!" Steve yelled.
The man laughed pulling the lever, "Who cares? Just one less Avenger to deal with."
Shocks were sent through my body, I screamed in agony. Every enhanced cell in my body ached and writhed under the intense sensation.
"No! NO!" Bucky started thrashing in anger.
My body felt so weak, I could barely keep consciousness. He let the restraints on both Bucky and Steve loose, Bucky instantly ran towards me, the man was already gone. The restraints on my body released. I fell into Bucky's arms.
"Don't die on me damn it." His voice was shaking.
"You're free Buck." I smiled weakly.
Steve joined us, "No, no you're going to be okay, alright?"
"We all know that's not the case," My eyelids lowered, I reached my hand up to Bucky's face, "I'll see you guys at the end of the line."

"Agent Elana Calvin, better known as Captain Snow, was an extremely important part of the team. She will be dearly missed by all who fought beside her, and those who she's saved."
The team sat in the pews of a hall in the S.H.I.E.L.D building. Their heads down to remember their fallen soldier. Bucky sat blank faced, broken even more than he already is. On a paper near him, was her birth and death date, December 25th, 1924- January 18th, 2018. He walked to her casket, her brunette hair loosely curled and her cold blue eyes were shut. Steve walked up behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Buck! Bucky!" She laughed, blonde streaks of hair fell in her face. He had tackled her on the soft grass in Central Park. They were childhood friends, their mothers finding them to be cute and wished for them to end up together.
His fingers moved to her waist, "Bucky stop! NO," she was interrupted by her own laughter. The summer breeze warmed their smiling faces, that was until a man came up to them both.
"James Barnes?" They both looked over to him.
      "Yes that's me."
"You have been enlisted into the United States army, this is your identification, good day."
Later that night they got into an argument.
She grabbed his arm, "Bucky please don't go, we need you here!"
He looked deep into her eyes, "I have to, I don't have a choice Ana."
She looked him dead in the eyes, "Fine."
And with that she turned on her heels and left his house. Oh she regretted it so much. She was enlisted as well, much later. She was used for testing. Somehow the serum reduced her aging to nearly a halt, she became stronger and she became Captain America's "side kick", Lady Liberty.

Bucky couldn't sleep that night, but he finally did. He woke with a start at 3 am, subconsciously reaching for the other side of the bed.
"You look at that pillow with the same hatred you showed to Red Skull." He looked over to see a ghostly woman in a blue dress that reached her calves.
    "Ana?"
"Yes, I had somethings to tell you before I left for good." She smiled, sitting on the side of the bed.
    "I miss you."
"I miss you too, but I can't come back home this time."
He sighed, "I really wish you could."
Her ghost started fading, "I love you, James Buchanan Barnes."
