Bellissima - Chapter 1

Leah's POV*

6.30am -

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, it was a really sunny day but I really didn't want to get out if bed as it was the first day back at school after the summer holidays. I stretched and grabbed my phone and went on twitter.
I scrolled through my timeline for a bit looking at everyone's tweets.

"I'm so excited to be back at school. <3" one of the tweets said.

It was Megan who had tweeted, she was always so happy and positive but I didn't know why she was so happy to be going back to that hell hole. I on the other hand was not bothered if I suddenly got a bug and had to take the day off.

I managed to drag myself out of bed and down stairs to the kitchen to get breakfast.

"Morning Leah, what do you want for breakfast?" I heard my mums chirpy voice call from the hall.

"I'll just have cereal please." I replied.

"Okay, you can make it yourself then." She called back.

I sighed and went to the cereal cupboard to pick something out. I picked Fruit Loops, they were my favourite :).

After I was done with my breakfast I went to get changed into my school uniform, putting it back on after 2 months felt weird. I wasn't ready to face my school again for another year.
I put my make up on and went downstairs to watch TV until my bus came. Nothing good was on at that time in the morning.

My phone vibrated, it was a text from Megan.
"I'll get you at the bus stop at 7.45 xo"

"Sure :)xo" I replied.

I wasn't really excited at all, in fact I felt sick with nerves as I would be seeing my crush again. My stomach felt like it was on a roller coaster.

7.45am -

I was standing at the bus stop waiting for Megan to arrive, we always met up here and then we would meet Cassie on the bus as she lived a bit away from us. Megan and Cassie were really good friends but she didn't seem to like me that much. Sometimes it make me feel like crap but I learned to deal with it.

I saw Megan walking over to the bus stop with a massive smile on her face.
She had her blonde hair in a high messy ponytail and not a lot of make up on. She could pull the messy hair and no make up look as she had perfect skin but I would look like a drug dealer if I tried it.

She ran over to me giving me a massive hug which startled me, but I was happy to see her. We hadn't saw each other much over the summer as she was off on holiday to Mexico for most of the time.

"I'm so excited to go back to school, are you?" She asked.

"Not really, it's just school.." I said with a dull voice.

"Ugh, you're always so negative Leah. Lighten up a bit, we get to see all our friends again!" She said happily.

"I suppose." I replied with no emotion.

I didn't ever tell her how I felt at school, I felt like an outsider. It was fine for her because she could make friends with anyone, but I took more time to develop a friendship with someone, I had to trust them before I told them all my secrets.

The bus finally came after 10 minutes of waiting and we got on to meet Cassie.

We got on the bus and walked up to where Cassie had got us seats. As always Megan sat next to Cassie and I sat in front of them by myself. I was used to this by now, but it still made me feel rubbish.

"I can't wait to see all the hot guys!" Cassie said excitedly to Megan.

"Me too!" Megan said back.

"Yeah, because there are so many hot guys at our school." I said sarcastically.

Cassie glared at me for ruining their 'conversation' but I just smiled at her. Megan didn't really understand sarcasm that much, she didn't really understand much. I wouldn't say she was dumb, but she sure did act it whenever a guy appeared. It was quite annoying but that was her way of flirting, and it worked with most of the guys.

8.15am -

We got off the bus and walked into the school grounds. It looked so dull even when it was sunny. I wasn't looking forward to going into class.

I walked into registration class and sat in my usual seat, Megan and Cassie weren't in my registration class so I sat by myself up the back. I was the only one there. Then he walked in, the one who made it all better, Luke Brooks. My heart was pounding as soon as I saw his face. We were the only ones there as we were quite early. He looked over to me and smiled, his smile made me weak. I was dreaming of what we would be like as a couple but then I noticed he was walking over to my table.

"Hey, how was your summer?" He said looking me in the eye.

Why was he talking to me?!? He was popular, I was just a no body.

"H-hi, it w-was good, how was yours?" I said stuttering nearly every word.

"It was alright." He said with a smirk on his face.

Then he went to sit in his seat.

The bell rung and then people started piling into the class room.

I was still traumatised that Luke had 
made the effort to talk to me because we had never talked before. God, he was perfect.
