Chapter 5: UNEXPLAINABLE SICKNESS

CLOMID's point of view

Five minutes after Zethia and Aceon left, I intentionlly relaxed and waited for this man holding me down relaxes even a little. I'll take it as a chance. The one who fell earlier because of Aceon's elbow attack got up ad followed bis companions and my teammates.

Citizens who saw the event stared at us and some kids even walked towards us. I felt the man's grip lossen a litle when he saw the kids so I swiftly turned my body around and sat up then hit my forehead to his nose. I struggled in standing up because my arm hit a rock when I turned around. I started running to a different direction. I'm lucky I know this part of Baclofen so I mnow if there's a shortcut or an alternative path to go somewhere.

Eight minutes have passed and if the two of them kept running with the same pace, they probably reached Acai already. One attacker is still chasing me. His nose is bleeding due to my attack.

I took a different route, far from our supposed to be route. When I reached Cardura, I saw another team up ahead and their chasers behind them. They are still together. Eh... I hope Aceon and Zethia are okay. Great... my arm is aching to the bone and I'm worried about thise two.

ACEON's point of view

We hid behind a wide post. "Quiet.." the person behind me whisperred. It's Zethia. She slpwly let me go and we heard our pursuers talk to each other. "Darn. They're good." "And fast," added the other. "Let's spread out," the third one said then there was silence. It's amazing how they could move soundlessly. I turned .y head to see Zethia standing behind me. She was peeping before she looked at me and gave me a sign that it's okay to step out.

We started running again but she took the lead since she knows this place better than me.

It's noon time and I could feel my brain like it's floating. I feel like when I look around, I'll faint. Ahh... We have been running nonstop for hours... but we can't stop. We need to be back by sundown or we're disqualified. I just passed by a black fat cat when I realized that Zethia was slowing diwn so I stopped and turned to look at her. She was bending and her hands are on her knees. She's panting like me. I could hear both our hearts beating. Is that even possible?Ayshh... I walked to where she is.

"What's up?" I asked trying not to blink or else I'll definitely break down. She looked up. "Water... I need... hahh..." she said trying to stand straight.

And with that, we both took a rest. We bought water from thenearest restaurant we could find. I wish I could order a hot meal but we don't have time for that.

"Let's go." "Wait." We looked at the restaurant owner and she gave us a bread each. "You're participating in the test, aren't you? You will need energy." I reached for my pocjet to get money but she waved her hand infront of me. "It's free. Go on."

"Arigatou gozaimasu," Zethia and I said and I bowed down. I just did a 90 degrees posture when I remembered that they consider bowing weird like uncle Adefovir. I suddenly stood straight and looked at them. "My, you don't  ow to someone like me, boy," the owner said. "A---ahh... gomenasai... wasureteta. Gomenasai," I said bowing my head.

When Zethia and I got out, she said, "How could you forget something like that?" "What?" "We've been taught about those gestures since childhood," she answered. I don't realy want everyone knowing how I got here but they'll soon find out eventually. "Ahh... actually, I'm not... from... here." She stopped. "What do you mean?" "It's a long story but it's my third day here today so I don't know much about this world." "This world?" Her forehead's wrinkled now. I scratched the back of my head thinking of a way how to explain it to her.
