The night before the exams, I couldn't sleep very well so I read through my spell book. Even though I've had it for a while, I still haven't read through the entire thing. As I skimmed through the pages, one title caught my eye.
"The Seven Wonders," I read aloud. "The Seven Wonders are the abilities a supreme witch has that most witches do not possess. If a witch completes all seven wonders in one trial, she will be gifted with the title of 'The Supreme Witch', and will be immune to all pre-existing illnesses. She will be the embodiment of magic itself. Their very presence will cause the air to be filled with sheer power."
My eyes basically light up. I continued to read the rest in my head. 'To be the Supreme, the witch must possess these seven abilities: 1.) Telekinesis, the ability to move objects with ones mind. 2.) Transmutation, move from one place to another without occupying any physical space in between. 3.) Pyrokinesis, ability to create, control, and manipulate fire. 4.) Divination, ability to obtain knowledge of an object, person, location, or physical event through means other than the person's physical senses. 5.) Concilium, controlling the mind of someone else. 6.) Vitalum vitalus, resurrecting people or animals from the dead. 7.) Descensum, project ones soul into the nether worlds of the afterlife. Only after completing all seven wonders will a witch become the supreme.'
I close the book and put it back in the box. I stared down at my shaky hands. I've already done four of the seven wonders. Does that mean what I think it means?

On the day of the exams, Team 7 met at the academy. After Sakura finally arrived, we walked into the building. When we climb a few flights of stairs, we see a crowd of people near the door that's being blocked by two other guys.
"You think this is a joke?" the one on the right says. "Chunin are meant to lead missions. You have the lives of your squad members in your hands so you better be tough enough to take the heat. Delicate little girls don't belong here."
"We're just thinning out the herd," the other one added. He looks awfully similar to the guy who brought me here. "You won't pass anyway so go home and play with your dolls."
"Real nice speech," Sasuke said, walking towards the two boy. "Now the both of you better step aside and let me through. And while you're at it, reverse the genjutsu. We're going to the third floor."
What's he going on about? I thought we were already on the third floor.
"Well, well, you noticed our illusion," said Izumo's look alike. Oh, this really is a genjutsu.
"Of course. Tell them Sakura, you must've seen it before anyone else did."
"Yeah," Sakura said confidently. "This is only the second floor."
I nodded my head, trying to play along and not look like the slow one of the group. But I look over at Naruto who also seems like he doesn't know what's happening. "Do you have any idea what's going on?" I whisper to him.
"Not a clue," he whispers back, but nods and plays along just like I did.
The sign that read 301 became 201 after the dudes released the genjutsu.
"So you saw through the illusion," the spikey-haired guy said. "Lets see you deal with this." He ran towards Sasuke and prepared to kick him. Sasuke aimed a kick at the guy as well, but they were both stopped by a boy in a green spandex suit and a bowl cut. This guy's fast.
"What happened to the plan?" asked a boy with king brown hair. He must be spandex's teammate. "I though you were the one who said to keep a low profile and to not show anyone our skill level."
"I know, but-" replied spandex.
"Whatever," a girl with two buns said. "It's happened already."
I caught the bowl cut guy staring at me, and soon enough he finally approached me. "My name is Rock Lee," he introduced. "And you are?"
"Iris," I responded, not very sure of where this is going.
Rock Lee's cheeks were blushed with pink, and he raised a thumbs up to me and winked. "Please be my girlfriend! I vow to protect you with my life!"
Woah. Wait a minute. I only know this guys name, and he only knows mine, but he's ready to die for me?! I've never seen anything like this, but it's kind of adorable.
I smile cheekily, and I feel my face heat up, but my darker skin helps me hide my blushing face. "I would accept your offer, but I don't know you very well. Maybe if we spend more time together, then I would say yes. But I could already tell that you're a pretty sweet guy."
I patted him on his shoulder, but my rejection didn't make his smile drop. He still had a determined look in his eyes. He held up a determined fist and said, "Don't you worry, this is just another challenge for me to complete so I could have you as mine one day. I'll make sure that the time we spend together will give you your most favorite memories. And you will be mine!"
My smile only grows wider. I have never had someone be this head over heals with me like he has. I'm feeling away I haven't felt since I got here. I feel like I'm actually wanted here an that I'm not a burden. Rock Lee is definitely someone I want by my side.
"Hmph. Would you really go out with that weirdo?" Sakura asks me, not even waiting for Rock Lee to walk away.
I try hard not to glare at her for her rudeness but I don't think I did so great. "Well, I'm a weirdo, too, so I think we'd be ok as a couple. Anyways, we have to bring up our papers or whatever. Bye, Lee!"
I waved goodbye to Lee and followed after Sakura, who dragged Naruto and Sasuke behind her. Before we entered the next room, a familiar voice made us stop in our tracks.
"Hey you, the guy with the attitude. Stop right there," Lee commanded.
We all stopped and looked towards him.
"What do you want?" Sasuke asked impatiently.
"I want to fight. Right here and right now."
Oh, geez.
"You wanna fight right here and now, huh?" Yes, Sasuke. He literally just sad that.
"Yes," Lee said, before jumping down from where he stood and facing us directly. "My name is Rock Lee. You said it was common courtesy to say your name first, right? Sasuke Uchiha." Lee got into a fighting position. "Everyone talks about how great the Uchiha clan was. I wanna see for myself. And also..."
Lee's head turned towards me and his cheeks turned red. "Iris! I love you! You are an angel sent from heaven." I smile and blush after hearing these words. And somehow, he was able to literally blow hearts at me. Strange, but cute!
"Are you kidding me?!" Sakura yelled. "His eyebrows are so bushy! And his hair! He's such a weirdo!"
I ignored her as I caught my eleventh heart in my hand and squeezed them to my chest. "Well, he's a nice and affectionate weirdo."
"You've heard about the Uchiha clan and you're still challenging me?" said Sasuke. His ego just killed my mood. "You must be more psycho than you look. I'll fight you."
"Bring it on," Lee said, getting back into his fighting position.
"Hold it," Naruto yelled, drawing our attention to him. "I'll fight this guy first. It'll only take two minutes."
"No thank you. I'm only interested in fighting the Uchiha."
"Oh really? I've got some news for you. Sasuke can't compare to me. Believe it!" Naruto dashed towards Rock Lee. He aimed a punch at him, but Lee used two fingers to direct Naruto's fist into a different direction. Naruto tried to kick him, but Lee avoided that attack as well by kicking his leg from below, causing Naruto to spin right into a wall.
Lee stood up and went back into his fighting position. "Face it. Your skills are inferior to mine. Out of all the Leaf Village genin, I am the best. Fight me and I will prove it to you."
"Fine. I'll do it," Sasuke replied.
I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that we don't have much time left until we hand in our applications. "Sasuke, we don't have time for this. We have to go."
"Relax. It'll all be over in five seconds."
I roll eyes and cross my arms across my chest. I walked over to one of the columns and leaned my back against it and started daydreaming while those two fought.
Sigh. Boys...
