In Love With A Stranger

The Encounter

 Hiya! I'm Xudia! I'm a 50/50 fox-wolf mix. My mom's a fox and my dad was the alpha of his pack, so I had a lot of special treatment growing up. I never got too into it though. I knew they were just trying to use me to get on my dad's good side, I mean, he was looking for a right-hand-man. When I was finally old enough I went through the forest just for exploration. That's when I met him, Xeon, I didn't notice the arrow flying towards me from an accidental shot until he pushed me out of the way.

"Woah, watch out miss," he said."

"Oh! Thank you so much!" I said to him, thinking he was one of my pack.

"No worries," he said, holding out his hand for me to grab it.

That's when I got a good look at him; his jet black fur with two neon blue ovals around his soft, yet piercing gray eyes, the rainbow armband just under his shoulder, the adorable white round circle on his belly, and his purple paws, which looked identical to mine.

"Hang on a minute...," I paused looking at him once more, "You aren't from my pack"

"Oh?" he said questionably.

"Who are you?" I asked

"I'm Xeon, from the midnight pack. Who are you"

"I-I'm Xudia," But that was all I said. He was a bit taller than me, which even as a kid was intimidating for me. I guess it was noticeable that I was a bit nervous, because soon after he said "Hey, there's no reason to be scared. I'm not going to hurt you"

"Oh sorry.." I said sheepishly "I'm usually like this when I meet someone. I guess I'm just a bit more nervous since you're the first wolf I've met outside of my pack"

"Oh really? How come?"

"It's the fact that I'm the alpha's daughter"

"I bet you get flirted with a lot," He said causing me to giggle. He wasn't wrong but it was kind of embarrassing because all the boys my age were mostly fuck-boys there

"Yeah... Hey, can I say something? It might be weird.."

"Go for it. I might have heard worse"

"It's the weirdest thing but, I feel like I can tell you anything. How can that be though? We just met"

"I know... It is weird, and to be honest I feel like that too" 

Then I heard it. My dad was howling "I'm sorry! I have to go!" Going into my feral form I ran towards my pack. My dad was attacked by one of the guys I turned down "David! What are you doing?!" I screamed out

"Xudia..." my father rasped out "Come here my daughter.." making my way over to him I noticed he had a bite mark on his neck and claw marks along his stomach

"Daddy... Please don't go.."

"I don't have much time, princess... Here... Your mother wanted me to give you this when you were old enough.." He handed me my mother's golden locket the same exact one she wore before she was attacked by the Dawn pack. I hugged him tightly

"Dad, please... I can't lose you too.."

"Please. My sweet... Find your cousin in the midnight pack. His name is Darem. He'll keep you safe" I put the locket on and nod before my father took his final breath with his final words "I love you" and with that, I set off. Off to find the midnight pack. Wait. Didn't Xeon say he was from there? No matter I needed to seek shelter. It was getting dark and I was in Evening pack territory. They were our rivals and they've wanted me dead for years to get back at my father. I hid in a small tree with a hole in the bottom and waited for the Evening pack to pass through.
