It was only a few days ago when my mom announced we were moving back to Korea. I didn't feel ready to leave New Zealand, because I promised my friends that we would go to the same college. But unfortunately, I will have to survive this school without them.

I was in the car, staring at the raindrops hitting the windows of the car. The weather completely fit my mood that day. Gloomy and sad. My earphones were plugged in and I was listening to one of my favourite Demi Lovato albums. As we got to the airport, we got out of the taxi and took out our suitcases from the boot. My parents and I made our way to the entrance of the airport. Before I stepped in I took a deep breath. I tried to keep myself together and not cry. I am not a little kid anymore, yet I cry as if someone stole my lollipop anytime I have to leave someone behind.

My mom noticed that I wasn't in my best mood, so she put one arm around my shoulder "Everything will be fine." She smiled. "Okay?"

I nodded without a word and stepped inside the building, dragging my suitcase behind me.

The airport was filled with people. All of them minding their own business, rushing home or to fetch their flights. I somehow always wished to live a busy life. I didn't like not having anything to do. I hoped the college would change all this.

We stepped on an escalator and then walked to a coffee shop. My mom and dad bought coffee, while I just waited for them in front of the shop.  I sat on my suitcase and played Subway Surf as I'd usually do. The game took me out of reality. And the reality was that none of my friends cared enough to text me back.  After I told them I'll be leaving, they left me on seen.

After this, we went to the check-in place. Just the typical airport things. We went through the baggage control without any problems. This wasn't our first time flying anyways. Before the flight, we had a little time off. I went to explore a few shops, even though I wasn't planning on buying anything. I still felt like I had to do something instead of playing games on my mobile.

As soon as we reached the end of the tunnel to the aeroplane, we gave our suitcases to one of the works who would place our belongings into the vehicle. The plane was almost full, only with a few empty seats here and there. The weather was starting to get nicer, so the view outside was wonderful. I slept through most of the ride, I simply couldn't get myself to stay awake.

Once we were out of the airport in South Korea, we called a taxi to take us to our new home. It was a smaller two-story house.  It seemed older on the outside, but the inside was renovated and filled with new furniture. My room was upstairs. It wasn't big but small either, so it was practical. But I wasn't going to spend much time there anyway. I was going to live in a dorm with some people.

Our afternoon was set of us packing out our belongings and looking around the city. I couldn't get my mind off school.

I was too curious how the first day of school would go, but I thought it was going to be fun.
