They all sat down, waiting for Gandalf to figure it out. Lydia sat with Aragorn and Boromir, smoking. The other girls were either chilling with Gimli, Legolas, or the Hobbits.

"There's something down there." She heard Frodo whisper to Gandalf.

"It's Gollum, hes been following us for three days."

"He escaped the dungeons of Barad-Dûr!" Frodo said.

"Escaped? Or was set loose? And now the Ring had drawn him here. He will never be rid of his need for it. He hates and loves the Ring, as he hates and loves himself. Sméagol's life is a sad story. Yes, Sméagol he was once called. Before the Ring found him... before it drove him mad."

"It's a pity Bilbo didn't kill him when he had the chance!" Frodo said loudly.

"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death, and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo?"

Frodo sat down by Gandalf, looking at the ground, silent.

"Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise can not see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill... before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many. "

"I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened." Frodo said.

"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought." Gandalf said.

Lydia stood up and walked towards the doors sniffing the air. She walked to the doorway that didn't smell as foul and leaned there.

"Oh! It's that way." Gandalf said.

"He's remembered!" Merry half yelled.

"No, but the air doesn't smell so foul down here."  Gandalf said, "If in doubt, Meriadoc, always follow your nose."

They came to a more open space. Broken columns lie tumbled across the floor. Gandalf lifted his staff.

"Let me risk a little more light."  He said.

His staff illuminated a giant stone hall with tall pillars and arched ceilings.

"Behold, the great realm and Dwarf city of Dwarrowdelf."  Gandalf announced.

Gimli ran into a chamber, bodies and weapons scattered about it. He stopped and knelt by a crypt in the center of the room. A shaft of light illuminated it. Gandalf walked forward and peered at the tomb's surface.  Gimli was crying "No"

"'Here lies Balin, son of Fundin, Lord of Moria.' He is dead then. It's as I feared."  Gandalf said.

Gandalf picked up a book.

"We must move on, we cannot linger!" Legolas told Aragorn and Lydia.

Lydia sighed, knowing what was coming.

"What's coming, Lyd?" Aragorn asked.

"...They have a cave troll." She replied, "They are coming."

"They have taken the bridge... and the second hall." Gandalf read, " We have barred the gates... but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes.Drums... drums... in the deep. We cannot get out. A shadow moves in the dark.We cannot get out...  They are coming."

Pippin was messing with a corpse. The corpse fell into the hole and made a lot of noise. Everyone looked at him. It was at this moment that Pippin knew, he fucked up.

"Here we go." Lydia whispered.

"Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity!" Gandalf said slamming the book.

They heard drums, slowly booming faster.

"Frodo!" Sam said. Frodo looked at his sword, it was glowing.

"Orcs!" Legolas yelled.

Boromir ran to the doors to have a look, almost getting hit with an arrow.

"Fucking Sean Bean!" Lydia half yelled.

Aragorn ran towards Boromir.

"Get back! You stay close to Gandalf!" He yelled to the Hobbits.

A bellow could be heard just outside.

"They have a cave troll." Boromir said with sarcastic relief.

Legolas looked at Lydia who nodded.

They barricaded the doors with what little they had.

"Argh! Let them come! There is one dwarf yet in Moria who still draws breath!" Gimli said jumping atop Balin's tomb

Lydia, Aragorn and Legolas stood in front with bows and arrows as the orcs and goblins slowly began to break through, they shot arrows, hearing the cries of the orcs they hit. Suddenly, they broke through the doors,  a wave of armor-clad Orcs charged towards the Fellowship. Lydia,    Aragorn and Legolas pierced Orcs with their arrows while Boromir smashed another with his sword.  A cave troll smashed through the doorway, chains leading from his neck to an Orc's hand. Legolas shot the cave troll in the shoulder, the beast growled and clapped a hand to the wound. Sam continued to stare, frozen, as the troll swung his mace down at the Hobbit. Sam dives under the troll's legs and crawls away as the troll turns. The beast raised his arm to strike when, suddenly, he fell back. Aragorn and Boromir were behind the troll, pulling on its chains. The troll twists its arm and whipped Boromir across the room. Boromir crashed into the wall, dazed. An Orc stands above him, ready to strike, but Aragorn threw a blade across the room into the Orc's head, saving Boromir. Aragorn nodded to him. Merry and Pippin pushed Frodo behind a pillar to hide. Legolas shot two arrows into the troll, causing it to reel back with a cry. The troll swung his chain above his head. He swings at Legolas who dodges it. The chain wraps around a pillar. Legolas ran along the chain onto the trolls shoulders. He shot the troll in the back of the head and jumped off. The troll cringed and stumbled.  Sam was hitting Orcs in the head with his skillet. "Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this!" he said to Lydia who laughed. The troll busted a walk way, separating Frodo from Merry and Pippin. "Frodo!" Aragorn and Lydia yell from opposite sides of the room, concerned with Frodo's safety. They tried to fight their way to him.  The Troll found Frodo, picking him up. Frodo screamed for Aragorn who was trying his hardest to get to him. Lydia was throwing fire to try to get to him, it wasn't very effective. Frodo slashed the trolls hand. The troll dropped him. He tried to smash Frodo, but Aragorn was there and stabbed the troll with a spear. Pippin and Merry threw stones at the troll's head. The troll swung his arm down and hits Aragorn, sending him flying across the room. He collapsed onto the floor, passed out. Frodo tried to wake him, but didn't have any luck. Frodo began to run, but the troll blocked Frodo's path with its spear, throwing him back. The troll took aim and stabbed Frodo in the chest. Everyone saw. "He's alright." Lydia said to herself as she continued to fight and tried to bring down the troll. Merry and Pippin jumped on the troll and stabbed him multiple times as Lydia burned the troll anywhere she touched him. People rushed to get to Frodo, fighting everyone in their way.  The Troll grabbed Merry off his head and threw him to the ground and kicked Lydia across the room. With Pippin still stabbing the trolls head, he opened his mouth and Legolas shot arrows into it. The troll stopped fighting and fell slowly to the ground, dead.  All the enemies had either died or fled. Everyone rushes to Frodo. "Oh no." Aragorn said, rolling Frodo over. Frodo gasped for breath. "He's alive." Sam said relieved.
