It had been a month since KaiRos had started living with the Åruds', Leif, Eric, and Melanie. Her wound had healed and she had learned a lot about her new housemates.
For instance. Melanie is a botanist. Even if she couldn't see the herbs she could smell each of their distinct scents. And she knew every single detail about how they where shaped.

Eric was a fisherman and would occasionally disappear for about 3 days to go fishing in he near by sea. He then brought his catch back to sell in the nearby village. He brought one of his fishing buddies over once, his name was Jacob.
Jacob was loud and rowdy, and constantly flirting. Even so he was respectable, once he figured out Melanie was soon to be wed to Eric he immediately stopped flirting with her. KaiRos respected this aspect but still hated him. After he stopped flirting with Melanie he immediately went on to flirt with KaiRos. She did not like it one bit, and neither did Leif.
Leif would constantly tell him to leave her alone for the entire duration of his time at the Årud household. KaiRos was thankful, Leif was a good friend.
Jacob left after about 4 hours of visiting.

Now Leif, from what KaiRos understood, was some sort of mystic hunter. That meaning he hunted things like jötunns, trolls, goblins, and you got it, Dragons. This terrified KaiRos, she had to be extra careful.
Leif had taken her jötunn hunting  in a cave once. It didn't go over well. She had almost gotten killed because she had turned a corner to come face to face with the creature they were hunting and was two steps from being crushed. She would have shifted to her dragon form ...but then Leif might have hunted her, so instead she froze with fear. She was lucky he managed to swoop in and save her. They had later defeated the jötunn by luring it out into sunlight, thus turning it to stone.
Although after that Leif got mad at her for almost getting killed.

"WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING.  YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN KILLED!" He yelled. KaiRos flinched at his harsh tone.

"I-I won't freeze next time I'll stay outta the way I swear." She quickly said before her stated yelling again.

"NO! THERE WONT BE A NEXT TIME! NEXT TIME YOU'RE STAYING HOME WITH MELANIE!" He snarled. KaiRos' hopes fell to rock bottom.

"B-but-" she started but was interrupted by Leif.

"NO! NO BUTS!" He sternly ordered. KaiRos growled under her breath, she was not going to let this guy boss her around.

"WELL MAYBE IF YOU'D ACTUALLY TEACH ME WHAT TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS WONT HAPPEN AGAIN!" She roared. This surprised Leif, he didn't seem to be expecting her to actually yell back.

" BESIDES ID LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY AND STOP ME FROM COMING WITH YOU!" KaiRos finished, turning and marching madly in the direction of the house. She and Leif didn't talk the whole way there.
This continued when they got home too, KaiRos immediately went to the room she stayed in and stayed there till dinner.

Come dinner time things got awkward. Melanie had caught on to what was going on and made them sit by each other.
She also refused to let them eat until they apologised to each other. Leif huffed and turned to get up before Eric stopped him.

"Sorry brother but Melanie wants you to stay here. And we don't want to upset her do we?" Eric smirked, enjoying how this was playing out.
Melanie sat at then end of the table, lightly tapping her finger on the wood. Her blind, cloudy gaze seemed to stare right into their souls.Leif shifted nervously.

"Look." KaiRos stared softly.
"I'm...I'm sor-" She was cut off by Leif.

" There's no need for you to be sorry. I'm the one who should apologise. I should have never taken you into a situation you couldn't handle." He said, his gaze burning into the table. KaiRos wasn't sure weather to be offended or not.

"Does that mean I can-" KaiRos started before Leif once again interrupted her.

"No."

KaiRos hissed.
She stood up and pushed Eric off when he tried to stop her.

"I'm going to bed. Don't worry about saving me any food." She growled as she left for her room. Leif looked at her in surprise as she slammed the door. KaiRos could hear Melanie yelling at Leif in frustration.

" Good going Leif! Now she doesn't even want food! She loves food!" She snarled.
KaiRos could hear her sigh as she smelled rabbit stew.

KaiRos walked over and sat in the chair by the window. Sighing she closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep before she heard a knock on the door. Opening it a crack to reveal Leif. KaiRos immediately went to close the door again but he blocked it with his foot. She growled and opened the door completely.

"What do you want." She hissed. Leif shoved a bowl of rabbit stew towards her.

"Eat." He commanded sternly.

"And if I don't." KaiRos asked raising an eyebrow. Leif narrowed his eyes.

" Then I'll force you to eat it." He growled, only to be hit in the head with a shoe. Looking down the hallway, KaiRos struggled to contain her laughter as she saw Melanie standing there with Eric by her side holding another shoe.

" Leif that is not how you treat a lady!" She lectured. Leif nodded then turned back to KaiRos.

" Please eat." He begged, once again offering her the food. KaiRos gave him a soft smile and laughed.

"Damn your stubborn." She snickered. Taking the soup she walked into the kitchen, sat down, and devoured the food.

The next day she followed Leif about five feet from the house before he turned to her.

"Ooooh no I did not say you could come." He stated. KaiRos cocked an eyebrow and gave him a look.

"Are you seriously gonna start this again. I'm coming and that's final." She spoke. Leif sighed and ran a hand through his long, soft hair. Silence filled the air for a minute before Leif broke it.

"Fine. Fine you can come. But this time you stay well away from the danger." He sighed. "I guess today we'll start lessons on hunting the creatures we hunt."

KaiRos almost purred she was so happy, but stopped herself because that wouldn't be human. She smiled and held his hand.

" lead the way then!"
