Everest Emerald
Moment of truth
Everest stared into his deep sapphire eyes, glowing with intensity as he closed the door and embraced them with an very, very uncomfortable silence.
He stared down at her chest that she so gladly exposed in her provoking green crop top the back to her lips and up to her eyes again. It was very amusing for her, he couldn't have possibly been more obvious.
"What are you doing here, Ev-"
She cleared her throat loudly when he was about to say her name. "I could've called, but I wanted to surprise you. Surprised?"
Logan looked like he almost didn't believe she was here, and Everest noticed that. She got up, semi-annoyed-ly when he didn't answer her question with words but with a brisk nod. He had walked past her and to his office, acting like the small white stain on the computer was the most interesting thing in the world.
"Speak. I'm busy, I haven't got all day."
His tone turned harsh and emotionless, would've hurt Everest of she wasn't so overconfident and understanding. She, instead, walked to where Logan was sitting, typing on his computer and ignoring her, and turned the chair to face her, resting both her arms on either side.
She ignored her over affective wolf that just wants to kiss him into coma at the moment.
She locked her emerald eyes to his sapphire eyes with a determine expression. He was good looking, she couldn't deny that. He was attractive, strong and assertive, dominating and intelligent. He was almost perfect for her if it wasnt for the color of his eyes and his roots.
He wasn't that bad though. What mal could she do if she had a little fun with him?
"Let's play a game, Sapphire."
Logan raised his brow and stared at her for a moment, as if trying to ensure himself if she was serious or not. Even with the playful glint in her eyes and the smirk, she was serious. She watched as he sighed and narrowed his eyes.
"You came all the way here to play a game with me?"
"I actually did, and I know you'll like it."
"Please tell me it's not hide and go seek, this house is too big."
She rolled her eyes. "As much as I'll love to get lost in a territory enemy to mine, I'd rather not."
"What do you want to play at then, Emerald?"
Something in his voice was almost seducing, the way his eyes darkened in his words laced with lusty suggestion. Everest tried to ignore how a certain fire ignited in her, her own mind taking a turn in the wtong direction.
She hadn't even yet proposed the game, and she already felt as if he won.
"You and I, Sapphire. Let's play a game, a game that will conclude all of this messed up mate thing, a game with one winner, a game of pride, a game of rejection."
Logan's face lightened with interest. "Go on."
"Rules are simple. Five months, about one hundred fifty three days of mateship. One hundred fifty three days of torture and crave. One hundred fifty three days with one hundred fifty three ways to make the other crack with the UnMarked Mate Symptoms. At the end of these one hundred and fifty three days, the strongest one of us will reject the weaker one and walk with all the pride and dignity. Are you up for such game, dear mate? Or are you going to give up one hundred and fifty three days earlier?"
Logan plastered a smirk on his face. He look pleased with her words and she was pleased with herself. She sounded so sure of herself and determined, there was no way she could lose this.
